Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • System Design & Modeling: Utilize Zemax  to design illumination and imaging paths, perform tolerancing, and analyze stray light.
  • Performance Optimization: Create error budgets, conduct image simulations, and optimize laser beam propagation or optical coatings.
  • Experimental Validation: Build and align prototype optical systems in the lab, including laser and detector characterization.
  • Collaboration: Work with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to transition designs to manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Education: PhD with 2+ years of experience, MS with 4+ years, or BS with 5+ years in Optics/Physics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Matlab/Python, optical design software (Zemax/Code V), and laser systems.
  • Domain Expertise: Understanding of Fourier optics, polarization, and high numerical aperture (NA) microscope objectives.

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range:

$128,000.00 - $192,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
  • Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
