About Hudu:

Hudu is a fast-growing SaaS platform built exclusively for IT professionals and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). We give teams a single, secure, and beautifully simple place to store, organize, and share everything that keeps modern IT environments running: passwords, network documentation, processes, assets, client knowledge, and more. By replacing scattered spreadsheets, outdated wikis, and a dozen disconnected tools with one unified, customizable solution, Hudu helps thousands of IT teams save time, reduce risk, deliver better service, and scale with confidence.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior People Operations & Talent Acquisition Specialist to own people operations and recruiting for our growing, distributed team. People Operations is the core of this role: you will keep our people operations running smoothly and compliant across a multi-state workforce, from onboarding and employee changes to our handbook and state requirements. You’ll also own recruiting across every department at Hudu, from engineering and product roles to go-to-market, customer-facing and operations teams.

You will work with established templates and processes and keep improving them, partnering with leadership and using AI tools to work smarter without losing the human touch that makes employees and candidates feel supported.

What you’ll do

People Operations:

  • Process employee changes in our HRIS system, such as new hires, promotions and job changes, and keep records accurate.

  • Serve as the go-to resource for employee questions on time off, benefits and policies.

  • Own onboarding end to end: first-day orientation, orientation scheduling, equipment with IT, welcome swag, and software access with hiring managers.

  • Own offboarding end to end: exit surveys, equipment returns, separation documentation and compliant terminations.

  • Maintain confidential employee files and document employee relations matters with discretion, so employees feel comfortable raising concerns.

  • Partner with accounting on payroll-related changes and provide weekly people operations updates to leadership.

  • Maintain the employee handbook and state appendices, adding states as we hire in them.

  • Track federal and state employment law changes, recommend policy updates, and manage state-specific requirements like harassment training, leave laws and new-state registrations.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for every department and level, from individual contributors to leadership: run intake meetings, conduct video interviews, coordinate interview schedules across hiring teams, and prepare and extend offers in partnership with leadership.

  • Source niche and hard-to-fill roles using Juicebox, LinkedIn and Boolean search.

  • Partner with hiring managers to define role needs and ideal candidate profiles, share regular progress updates, and align on hiring decisions.

  • Manage the pipeline in our ATS, including job postings, application review, stage moves, email templates and accurate data for reporting, while keeping candidates informed with timely, clear and personal communication.

  • Run structured candidate evaluations, deliver concise hiring team summaries, and conduct reference checks.

  • Coordinate with external recruiting agencies when engaged, including sharing role requirements and managing candidate submissions.

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, HR, or people operations, including at least 3 years of full-cycle recruiting, ideally at a SaaS or tech company.

  • A proven track record sourcing and hiring technical candidates, such as software and DevOps engineers.

  • Experience supporting HR operations and compliance for a remote, multi-state workforce.

  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS and ATS system.

  • Comfort using AI tools day to day, with good judgment about when a human conversation matters more.

  • A builder mindset: you are comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes from scratch at a small company.

  • Strong attention to detail in documentation, from handbook policies to terminations.

  • Excellent communication skills and discretion with confidential information.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Bonus Points:

    • Experience with Ashby, Gusto, and Juicebox.

    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

    • Experience at an MSP or IT software company.

Why Work at Hudu:
  • Innovation & Impact : Rapid product evolution with regular feature updates and new tools. Building tools that solve real pain points for users.

  • Customer Focus: High user satisfaction with ease of use, powerful documentation capabilities, and strong product support.

  • Growth Mindset: A high-growth, startup environment where team members can wear many hats, innovate, and grow with the company.

  • Benefits & Perks:

    • Health Insurance

    • 401k plan with company matching

    • Paid time-off

    • Flexible work hours

    • Work Life Balance
