Responsible for assisting with coordination of internal-facing preconstruction activities, including schedule updates and coordination with internal stakeholders for utility scale renewable energy projects.This role is hybrid with regular in-office presence in our San Diego office. Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Preconstruction Project Coordination
Collaborate with various teams across the SOLV organization, including Engineering, Estimating, Scheduling, Preconstruction Project Management, Field Operations, and Field Installation teams to coordinate preconstruction efforts for utility-scale solar projects.
Coordinate with SOLV Electrical Preconstruction Management and Procurement teams to track and manage preconstruction procurement and design review deadlines.
Coordinate with SOLV Preconstruction Management and SOLV Engineering Management teams to track and manage design deliverable deadlines.
Coordinate with SOLV Field Teams and Scheduling Team to track and manage schedule updates.
Review contract documents to identify any project requirements (SOLV requirements, Project Owner requirements, Contract requirements, and AHJ requirements) that may have an impact on the project’s electrical design while tracking compliance with such requirements.
Coordinate with the Engineering, Electrical Preconstruction, and Procurement Teams to ensure the required materials are sourced and procured in a timely manner while ensuring project schedules and budgets are met.
Work with Engineering, Preconstruction, and Procurement teams to understand design constraints and material lead-times to ensure long lead procurement items receive LNTP coverage and are released at their appropriate milestones to avoid schedule delays.
Assist with preparation and issuance of preconstruction RFIs for EEOR and Project Owner response to support the Electrical Preconstruction Team.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with cross-function teams including internal and external engineers, estimators, field operations, preconstruction project managers, procurement specialists, and construction teams to provide support and resolve project planning related issues.
Liaison with the Electrical Preconstruction Management, Procurement, and Engineering teams to track changes that may impact the project schedule and/or budget.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Minimum (1) Year of project coordination or assistant project manager experience preferred
Minimum (1) Year of project scheduling experience preferred
Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6
Proficient in BlueBeam and Microsoft Excel
Effective written and verbal communications skills
Detailed oriented and effective organizational skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously
High aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
Strong sense of urgency
