Position Summary

Apps Associates is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Consultant – Data & Analytics to serve as a strategic advisor, enterprise architect, and delivery leader for complex data, analytics, and AI transformation initiatives.

This individual will lead enterprise engagements spanning modern cloud data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and enterprise application ecosystems. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise across Oracle, Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, and other leading analytics technologies, with the ability to design scalable, business-driven solutions that support reporting, analytics, AI, and digital transformation objectives.

The Senior Principal Consultant will work closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to define data strategies, modernize analytics environments, establish governance frameworks, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role combines hands-on architecture leadership, consulting expertise, delivery oversight, and business development responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory & Architecture Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, business stakeholders, and technology leaders. 
  • Lead enterprise data and analytics strategy engagements, roadmap development, and modernization initiatives. 
  • Define end-to-end data architectures supporting reporting, analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational decision-making. 
  • Design scalable cloud-based data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytics ecosystems. 
  • Establish enterprise data governance, security, quality, and master data management approaches. 
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on business requirements, organizational maturity, and long-term strategic objectives. 
  • Drive architecture decisions that balance scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost. 

Data & Analytics Platform Leadership

  • Lead architecture and implementation of enterprise data and analytics platforms. 
  • Design modern reporting, self-service analytics, and executive dashboard solutions. 
  • Define semantic models, dimensional data models, reporting frameworks, and data consumption patterns. 
  • Develop source-to-target integration strategies across ERP, CRM, HCM, SCM, and operational systems. 
  • Establish data reconciliation, validation, and governance frameworks. 
  • Guide clients through legacy reporting and analytics modernization efforts. 
  • Support enterprise AI and advanced analytics initiatives through scalable data architecture design. 

Delivery Leadership

  • Lead technical workstreams for large-scale data and analytics transformation programs. 
  • Provide oversight across architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities. 
  • Establish implementation standards, best practices, and reusable delivery accelerators. 
  • Conduct architecture reviews and solution quality assessments. 
  • Mentor consultants, architects, data engineers, and analysts. 
  • Ensure successful project execution while managing scope, risks, dependencies, and client expectations. 
  • Collaborate with project managers and engagement leaders to deliver successful client outcomes. 

Pre-Sales & Business Development

  • Support sales pursuits, solution workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations. 
  • Develop solution architectures, implementation roadmaps, effort estimates, and statements of work. 
  • Participate in proposal development, technical demonstrations, and client strategy discussions. 
  • Contribute to Apps Associates’ data, analytics, and AI offerings and accelerators. 
  • Help identify new service opportunities within existing client accounts. 
  • Represent Apps Associates as a thought leader through presentations, webinars, blogs, and industry events. 

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise data warehouse, analytics, business intelligence, or data platform solutions. 
  • 5+ years serving as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Principal Consultant, or equivalent leadership role. 
  • Proven experience leading enterprise data and analytics modernization initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing consulting environments. 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex technology programs. 
  • Strong understanding of both business and technical aspects of analytics transformation initiatives.
