Imagine being at the forefront of a seismic shift in the way engineering is done. BAE Systems' Model Based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) is on a mission to transform the industry with cutting-edge Digital Engineering (DE) practices.
We are looking for a software Digital Engineering lead to help shape the strategy and execute the rollout of the ES sector digital transformation. This is a 2-3 year rotational position. This role's responsibilities will require you to:
  • Lead adoption of digital engineering for software engineering, working closely with the software ELB
  • Lead MBE CG initiative software development and delivery, including budget, schedule, and staffing
  • Mentor other software engineers to rotate into this role after your rotation finishes

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 12+ years of software development experience
  • Experience leading a software engineering team
  • Experience as software or data architect
  • Experience working in a dynamic and agile environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 16+ years of software development experience
  • 8+ years of software development at BAE Systems
  • Experience as a data engineer
  • Experience as a software engineer developing middleware
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and software pipelines
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Virtualization technologies
  • Experience in embedded software and test software development methods
  • Diverse software experience: small and large projects, full lifecycle, multiple business areas

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
