The Role We Need:

PadSplit is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape and improve experiences across our two-sided housing marketplace. Working on a growth-focused product team, you’ll tackle meaningful, complex problems for members and hosts, helping make it easier to find, access, and provide affordable housing. You’ll play a central role in designing intuitive, human, and scalable experiences that create measurable impact for our customers and business.

The Person We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for a senior-level designer who blends strong product intuition, systems thinking, deep empathy for users, and growth-minded experimentation. You thrive in complex problem spaces, move fluidly between big-picture strategy and pixel-level detail, and can clearly connect design decisions to customer needs and business outcomes. Above all, you are authentic, collaborative, and energized by solving meaningful problems with cross-functional teams.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Own End-to-End Product Design – Lead design from early problem definition and exploration through prototyping, launch, and iteration across PadSplit’s marketplace.
  • Simplify Complex Experiences – Turn complicated workflows, rules, and marketplace dynamics into experiences that feel clear, intuitive, and approachable.
  • Conduct User Research – Interview, observe, and gather insights from members and hosts to deeply understand their needs and translate them into stronger products.
  • Drive Product Strategy – Partner with PMs to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and connect customer needs with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experiment & Iterate – Use data, customer feedback, prototypes, and experiments to test assumptions and continuously improve experiences.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with PMs, engineers, marketers, operations, and data partners to develop and deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Craft High-Quality UI – Build responsive, polished interfaces in Figma using thoughtful components, interaction patterns, and PadSplit’s design system.
  • Build AI-Infused Experiences – Prototype and design intelligent workflows and AI-powered features alongside our engineering, ML, and AI teams.

Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • Proven Experience – 4+ years designing digital products, ideally with complex acquisition funnels or marketplace environments.
  • Deep UX Skills – Strong research abilities and comfort engaging directly with users to uncover pain points and opportunities.
  • Business Fluency – Ability to connect design decisions to metrics, revenue, and real estate economics like rent, ROI, and occupancy.
  • Workflow Mastery – Experience designing multi-step processes, complex service environments, and edge-case-heavy workflows.
  • UI Excellence – Expertise in Figma and interaction design across web and mobile, with strong systems thinking and component reuse.
  • Data Orientation – Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and interpreting both qual and quant insights.
  • AI Capability – Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered features and leveraging modern AI tools in your design practice.
  • Authentic Collaboration – A humble, kind, curious, and mission-driven approach that elevates the team and the user experience.

The Interview Process:

  • NO BOTS HERE: your resume will be reviewed by live humans from PeopleOps and the hiring manager.
  • If we’re interested, the next step would be a video screen with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
  • If warranted, the next steps would be a project review with the hiring manager (1) hour.
  • If warranted, the next step would be a design case study with key Design stakeholders at PadSplit for one (1) hour.
  • If warranted, the final step would be a design craft exercise with key stakeholders at PadSplit for one-and-a-half (1.5) hours.
  • If warranted, then we move to offer!

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

  • Fully remote position - we swear!
  • Competitive compensation package including an equity incentive plan and company-wide bonus opportunity
  • National medical, dental, and vision healthcare plans
  • Company provided life insurance policy
  • Optional accidental insurances, FSA, and DCFSA benefits
  • Unlimited paid-time (PTO) policy with eleven (11) company-observed holidays
  • 401(k) plan
  • Twelve (12) weeks of paid time off for both birth and non-birth parents
  • The opportunity to do what you love at a company that is at the forefront of solving the affordable housing crisis

Please note: Although the job posting says it's in Atlanta, Georgia, this is a fully remote position. This is a result of our Applicant Tracking System requiring a location to post the role on LinkedIn.
