Design discovery experiences for Netflix Games across TV and web platforms, collaborating with teams to enhance how members engage with games.
The summary above was generated by AI

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Role

At Netflix, we’re on a mission to entertain the world and redefine how stories are experienced. Beyond film and television, Netflix Games is creating new categories of experiences, offering members new ways to interact, engage, and play within the Netflix experience they already know and trust.

The Netflix Games Product Design team is searching for a highly ambitious, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Product Designer who will help shape how members discover and engage with games on Netflix. This role is pivotal in crafting consumer-facing product experiences that integrate seamlessly into the broader Netflix ecosystem while exploring new merchandising opportunities to elevate and differentiate Games on the platform. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and design partners to create and iterate discovery experiences across TV and Web platforms.

This is a remote-friendly role (within the US, west coast preferred), with required onsite meetings in Los Gatos and Los Angeles for meaningful collaboration and team building.

About Netflix Games and Our Vision for Discovery

The Netflix Games team is on a mission to deliver games to millions of members across mobile, web, and TV. As we expand our games offering on televisions, discovery becomes critical: helping members find the right game at the right moment through smart merchandising, thoughtful design, and seamless integration across surfaces.

This role will be essential in enhancing existing canvases and inventing new ways for members to discover, learn about, and fall in love with games on Netflix.

What You Will Do

  • Design intuitive, engaging, and scalable discovery experiences across TV and Web that enhance how members browse, learn about, and engage with games.

  • Integrate games into the broader Netflix ecosystem, building upon existing merchandising canvases and exploring opportunities to create differentiated discovery experiences.

  • Shape product strategy in collaboration with product, engineering, and research partners by identifying member needs and discovery opportunities.

  • Develop informed, compelling design points of view that unify cross-functional teams through clear rationale, storytelling, and craft.

  • Drive end-to-end product design work—from blue-sky exploration through wireframes, UX flows, and polished UI designs—balancing speed and craft.

  • Partner closely with insights and data science teams to test, validate, and evolve designs based on research and A/B testing.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system with a focus on scaling discovery experiences across a global audience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Experience: 8+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience) with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing and discovery-focused product design work.

  • Cross-Platform Expertise: Deep experience designing for mobile, TV and/or Web platforms, with a keen understanding of cohesive cross-device experiences.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of solving complex discovery and merchandising challenges within dynamic, high-scale ecosystems.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build alignment, tell compelling stories, and bring cross-functional partners along with you.

  • Craft Excellence: Strong visual design sensibility and exceptional storytelling paired with a user-first mindset; attention to detail in both structure and polish.

Even Better If You Have…

  • Familiarity with gaming, entertainment, or media merchandising design.

  • Experience working with established design systems and understanding the impact of design on workflow scale and localization.

  • Experience designing for TV-specific interaction patterns (remote control navigation, focus management, etc.).

  • Comfort working with both technical and non-technical audiences to land nuanced experiences.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Empowered to Innovate: You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to craft your own design workflow while leveraging Netflix’s world-class design system and tooling.

  • Collaborative Culture: Work with a supportive, talented team on problems that matter, with the autonomy to explore new ideas and drive meaningful impact.

  • Top-Tier Benefits: Enjoy top-of-market compensation, flexible time off, and remote work options, balanced with opportunities for in-person collaboration.

  • Growth and Development: We offer meaningful financial support for further education and professional growth, in an inclusive environment where your work is valued.

At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your personal top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $120,000 - $515,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy. Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here
