Own end-to-end product design for Quo’s iOS and Android apps, from ideation through launch and iteration. Build mobile design systems, components, and guidelines; apply strong platform-specific judgment; prototype in code; and partner closely with engineering, product, and design teams. Advocate for mobile customers, reduce friction, elevate craft quality, and contribute to critiques and team-wide design standards.
Small businesses represent 99.9% of all companies, yet they're still forced to choose between clunky, outdated enterprise phone systems or their personal phones. This multi-billion dollar market has been overlooked for decades, left to cobble together solutions that slow them down instead of helping them grow.
Quo is changing that. We bring calls, texts, and customer information together into one easy-to-use, AI-powered platform. We’re not just building a phone system. We’re setting a new standard for how businesses connect with their customers.
Driven by our values, we move fast, build with determination, and obsess over delivering value to the businesses that have been underserved for far too long.
Today, Quo is trusted by more than 120,000 companies and rated #1 in customer satisfaction on G2. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Tiger Global, Craft Ventures, Slow Ventures, and other top-tier investors. It’s safe to say we’re onto something big.
About the roleFor a substantial number of Quo's customers, mobile isn't a secondary surface — it's where the work happens. As our mobile experience continues to become more and more central to how small businesses run their day, the bar for quality and craft has to rise with it.
We're looking for a senior product designer to help lead that charge. You'll own end-to-end design across our iOS and Android apps, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and the rest of the Product Design team to ship experiences that feel native, fast, and unmistakably Quo. This is a role for someone who excels in platform-specific patterns, has a high craft bar, strong mobile product taste, and who's comfortable using AI tools as part of how they design and build.
- Own key mobile design projects end to end, from early concepts and ideation through to implementation and post-launch iterations
- Build out the systems, components, principles, and guidelines for other designers to follow as they contribute to the mobile experience
- Bring deep fluency in both iOS and Android platform conventions, using native patterns where they serve the customer, and pushing back on cross-platform shortcuts when they don't
- Prototype concepts in code when it's more effective than static mocks, using tools like Claude Code to explore and validate ideas early and often
- Partner closely with mobile engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, representing the voice of mobile customers and making the case for platform-level nuance
- Identify opportunities for delight and friction reduction that no one asked for, and take the initiative to design and ship them
- Give and seek out feedback, participate in critiques, and help raise the quality and craft bar for the whole design team
About you
- 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showing depth, experience, and platform-specific judgment across iOS and Android applications
- Exceptional craft and attention to detail across user experience, interface, interaction, and visual design
- Strong point of view on what makes mobile software feel great, knowing when to stay on top of current trends and best practices, and when to venture off and break the mold
- Track record of owning projects end to end with a high degree of autonomy, from identifying the right problem through to shipping and learning
- Deep knowledge and experience using Figma, and comfort prototyping in code when it's better than static mocks
- Proven ability to partner closely with engineering, articulating the reasoning behind design decisions and navigating technical constraints early
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of keeping things simple, and ensuring that nothing gets in the way of the customer experience and value
Nice to have:
- Motion design experience for mobile-native transitions and microinteractions
- Experience designing for web/desktop applications
- UX copywriting instincts
