With software used by millions of developers, and thousands of products worldwide, Tiny creates some of the world's most popular open source software. Most developers would be familiar with TinyMCE, the flexible open source rich text editor used by companies such as Atlassian, Accelo, Drift and more.

We are part of Tiugo Technologies, a launchpad for new developer platforms, helping software companies accelerate growth, increase operating efficiency and scale their business. Tiugo contains a suite of brands which are API-first, market-leading developer platforms focused on content creation and digital collaboration. Tiugo’s current family of brands include CKEditor, TinyMCE, ButterCMS and Uploadcare. Together our products have powered millions of software applications and websites. Enabling content and communication in everything from Microsoft to NASA, you might not know our name, but you’ve probably used our software.

Your role:

As the Senior Product Designer for TinyMCE, your work will have a direct impact on millions of users all over the world, literally. As a member of the TinyMCE product team, you will be involved throughout the development journey, from identifying the problems or opportunities to defining and designing the solution. You will be responsible for core design deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs, but also the broader experience for users, developers, and customers, for example how the editor should behave or if there are best practices that should be followed.

TinyMCE is a widely used component that is integrated into customers' web apps. The design work is often highly functional, almost architectural, with a strong emphasis on research, usability, and user experience for all types of end-users. Empathy for both developers implementing TinyMCE and their end users is a must.

You will partner closely with engineers from early exploration through release, using a strong understanding of modern web capabilities and constraints to assess feasibility, navigate technical tradeoffs, and ensure the shipped experience matches the design intent. You do not need to write production code, but you should be comfortable discussing complex implementation details, including HTML, CSS, accessibility, keyboard and focus behavior, and component architecture. You will also help maintain and evolve the TinyMCE design system across design and code.

Tiny is a fully remote organization with team members in a dozen different countries across multiple continents. We emphasize communication skills. You must communicate design briefs, documentation, and ideas clearly in written or video form in English.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own cross-functional design initiatives from discovery to delivery, partnering with product management to frame problems and shape design requirements

  • Validate design directions through prototyping, critique, and stakeholder feedback

  • Drive alignment and tradeoff decisions with product, engineering, and design peers

  • Continuously improve interaction patterns, accessibility, and consistency across the editor and its features

  • Partner directly with engineers on feasibility and constraints, and follow designs through implementation to ensure the shipped result matches design intent

  • Maintain and evolve the TinyMCE design system, from design source through its implementation in code

  • Proactively identify experience gaps through customer feedback and research into industry trends and competitors, and propose improvements

To be successful in this role you need the following:

  • 5+ years of product design experience working with software development teams, including experience with cross-functional initiatives

  • A track record of turning product goals into UX strategy with measurable outcomes

  • Experience validating design directions through prototyping and user or stakeholder feedback.

  • Strong interaction design and information architecture skills for complex, constraint-heavy flows

  • Strong understanding of modern web capabilities and constraints, plus the ability to grasp complex technical concepts to drive a design from idea to release.

  • Deep familiarity with accessibility standards and their impact on design decisions, especially keyboard and focus behavior

  • Experience maintaining and evolving design systems and componentized designs

  • Experience facilitating critiques, workshops, and stakeholder alignment, with strong communication skills

  • At least four working hours of overlap with the CET timezone

  • Comfortable speaking and writing in English

Why join us:

  • B2B contract-based monthly remuneration is 21.600 - 26.400 PLN + VAT or its equivalent on the employment contract.

  • Flexible schedule and the possibility to work fully remotely.

  • Professional development resources (up to 5 days of additional leave and 6 000 PLN yearly).

  • LinkedIn Learning access.

  • Extra leave for Tiugo Day – our company’s foundation day and your birthday.

  • English lessons with a native speaker and an online language platform where you can learn English, Spanish, and German.
