You believe design doesn’t just happen between 9 - 5. Your friends say you're obsessed… in a healthy way. You see opportunities to improve the way people use products all the time. Behind every Unsolicited Design Critique(TM) is a desire to simplify and restore elegance into the world. Design fills you with a sense of pride and purpose. It's why you love being a designer so, so much.

Oh, and there's more. You don't just make things beautiful, you untangle the genuinely gnarly stuff. Data-heavy dashboards? Complex workflows? Bring ‘em on. You're the person in the room who makes everyone wonder why it ever seemed hard in the first place.

Who you are:

  • You're obsessed with hard problems. You make complex interactions feel intuitive. You don't just know your users, you get them. And when you make a design decision, you can connect it back to a real insight, not just a feel.

  • You have a low ego and high impact. You communicate clearly and bring people along for the ride. Collaboration isn't just a value on the company website for you, it's just how you work.

  • You're genuinely excited about AI. You're already using AI tools day-to-day to explore faster, iterate smarter, and ship better - without ever compromising on craft.

  • You think in systems, not screens. You're designing the whole experience - patterns, extensibility, things that scale. You get to the root of something rather than just fix a one-off problem.

What will you be doing?

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define scope, requirements, and what "done" actually looks like.

  • Turn high-level requirements into detailed, end-to-end flows that make engineers say "oh wow, this is clear."

  • Run discovery like you own it - customer interviews, usability sessions, concept tests - and translate what you learn into real design decisions and product strategy.

  • Prototype to think, not just to present. Use it to explore, align, and de-risk before anyone writes a line of code.

  • Evangelize design thinking across the org. You'll raise the bar through feedback, critique, and mentorship - until strong craft and thoughtful collaboration are just… the default.

  • Strengthen the design system. Cleaner patterns, better documentation, reusable components that make other designer's life a little easier.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • 6+ years designing and shipping complex products across web and mobile

  • A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or something equally compelling.

  • Real experience contributing to and evolving design systems - not just using them.

  • A strong, user-centered design process you can articulate and defend.

  • Experience designing AI-powered experiences, with work in your portfolio to back it up.

  • Excellent communication skills. You can present your work clearly, build alignment across cross-functional teams, and make people feel good about the direction you're heading.
