We are looking for a creative and independent Product Engineer. NVIDIA has continuously transformed itself over three decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 powered the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing — with the GPU acting as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to grow our company and build our teams with the smartest engineers in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.
Make the choice to join us today. We need a creative individual who will help transfer GPU gamming and compute products from design engineering to mass production. You will be exposed to various aspects of building and testing Nvidia products, from GPUs to assembled boards. In addition, your responsibilities will include working with overseas manufacturing teams to increase yields, test coverage and capacity, and reduce production costs. If you are passionate about building the highest quality GPU products that will impact the world, then we really want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
Work on NVIDIA gaming and compute GPU board products during NPI and in production
Work with multi-functional teams (including Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Design, Customer Support and Marketing) to achieve fast-paced delivery schedules on groundbreaking products
Define and improve manufacturing test plans to optimize coverage, test-time, test-cost and yield
Perform product design and validation to support design engineering sustaining works.
Root Cause failing boards and make DFX recommendations to design team.
Direct local and oversea contract manufacturing factories to transit new products to massive production.
Regularly report product status and recommend improvements to management
Analyze volume manufacturing data by using a combination of available software tools as well as programming / scripting
What we need to see:
Experience in board design/production activities including board-level or silicon-level debug, strong problem solving and debugging expertise; track record of institutionalizing root-cause analysis
Knowledge of GPU, motherboard or computer architecture, PCB-design, discrete components, knowledge of one or more areas – PCI-E bus, Memory, DP, HDMI, USB, FRU, Power, Thermal and PCBA
Good teamwork and communication skills with multi-tasking capabilities
Experience with test development, debugging or validation. Good software knowledge like Python, PHP, Linux and Unix are a plus
Familiarity with manufacturing processes from board assembly to system testing, sub-assemblies, and systems, familiar with Bill of Material and schematics, experiences in Allegro and Cadence, basic understanding of mechanical tolerances
Data analysis knowledge and skillset are desired
5 years or more of experience in development of systems or sub-systems (hardware/software) and data analysis
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience)
