Wilson Language training is growing and is looking to hire a Senior Product Manager to support our Acadience assessments.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for management and development of Acadience suite of assessments at Wilson Language Training designed to quickly assess students in reading and math and provide data to help educators take informed action to improve outcomes. This will also include the product management of the Acadience assessments platform. This role will work closely with and take strategic direction from the President of Acadience Learning, Acadience researchers, and others to contribute to the planning, strategy, design and development for the assessment products. Reporting to the Wilson Director, Product Management, this role will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and engineers to execute the Acadience product roadmap goals and vision. This role will also support a successful launch of the Acadience assessment products and go-to-market motion with customers and customer-facing teams

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage multiple Acadience assessment products and priorities – focusing on the upcoming launch of the new edition of Acadience reading K-6 and other roadmap priorities.
  • Use deep knowledge of both product management and K-12 assessments, including all technical background and content expertise, to articulate market needs and development priorities
  • Effectively frame and document requirements and stories to lead the cross-functional working team through discovery, definition, development, and the launch of innovative assessment products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to guide the development and production of print materials related to the Acadience assessments.
  • Lead usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Working closely with Ul/UX teams to iterate on feature designs, documenting and refining product requirements with engineering teams with detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, reviewing test cases, and leading product acceptance.
  • Analyze product usage data, knowledge of the market, target user or technology needs and competitors to inform product decisions and measure the product’s success.
  • Lead the go to market efforts of product initiatives. Serve as the expert to answer questions and provide resources to communicate updates to customer-facing teams.
  • Support and lead teams to identify and mitigate risk, use data to make priority decisions.
  • Understand and display WLT’s values
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Skills:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in the K-12 assessment space. Working collaboratively with research, design, and engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated success of working with business owners and cross-functional teams through development processes on impactful education technology applications
  • Experience using product data to inform product decisions. Advanced data analytics skills are preferred.
  • Proven ability to engage with both individual contributors and leaders of all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships.
  • Experience presenting to various internal teams as well as customers.

Education or Certification:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree-prefer technology/engineering or education related field or equivalent work experience
  • Classroom teaching experience is a plus, especially in Language Arts/Reading

Wilson has identified the anticipated pay range for this role based on the many factors that we consider in defining compensation levels for our roles, including market data, and internal equity considerations. Actual pay, and allocation between base and any target discretionary bonus, will vary based on geographic location, education, work experience, skills, market data, and internal equity considerations. Anticipated Salary Range: $115,000 to 140,000
