We Breathe Life Into Data

At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease.

As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way.

At Komodo Health, we believe that artificial intelligence is at the heart of how we will continue to address our mission. The Marmot Platform team is responsible for the company’s core Generative AI platform, serving as the foundation for our next generation of customer products.

This role exists to lead the "Ask Me Anything" customer-facing application built on Marmot. You will be a visionary product leader at the forefront of GenAI adoption, responsible for creating a high-value and intuitive user experience for both internal and external customers, making the power of our healthcare data more accessible than ever before. This role operates at the critical intersection of platform capability and customer value, requiring strategic vision, deep technical understanding, and strong executive alignment.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo, you will have…

  • Defined and executed the product strategy and 12-month roadmap for the "Ask me anything" GenAI application, resulting in quantifiable increases in customer adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Established yourself as the key product authority for the "Ask me anything" product, successfully aligning all major stakeholders, including executive leadership, on product vision and prioritization.
  • Driven the performance and quality for the product by being hands-on with the technical stack, including leading prompt engineering efforts, designing comprehensive evaluations, and curating high-quality testing data and scenarios.

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…

  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial research and feature definition to launch, iteration, and deprecation.
  • Establish a strong operating rhythm around internal and customer feedback, translating needs into clear, outcome-oriented missions for the engineering team.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure a frictionless, delightful, and highly reliable user experience that leverages the unique capabilities of GenAI.
  • Monitor key business and product health metrics (e.g., hallucination rate, response latency, cost per query, user stickiness) and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the GenAI competitive landscape, sharing knowledge and driving innovation across the organization.

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

  • Exceptional Executive Presence and Communication: Proven ability to articulate a complex product vision simply, dive into technical detail at appropriate moments, and effectively align and negotiate with C-level stakeholders
  • Deep, Hands-On GenAI Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Generative AI, including understanding of LLMs, model fine-tuning, and the challenges of deploying AI to customers at scale.Direct, practical experience being a "power user" of GenAI products, including hands-on work in prompt engineering, building evaluation frameworks (Evals), and driving model quality through data analysis.
  • Strong Product Fundamentals: Superior ability in prioritization, roadmapping, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. Customer-centric mindset with a track record of launching successful, multi-market products to end users.
  • Comfort navigating extreme ambiguity, creating clarity from complex technical and business challenges in a rapidly evolving market.
  • You are expected to be a power user and an advocate for leveraging AI in your daily work, constantly exploring and applying AI tools to enhance your productivity and the quality of your output.

Additional skills and experience we’d prioritize (nice to have)…

  • Prior experience in SaaS product management is highly desired. If not, show experience in similar environments (e.g. SaaS engineering management, technology consulting, etc)
  • Experience building products for life sciences/healthcare
  • Experience with Healthcare data
  • Experience working in a high growth startup
