Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.

Mysten Labs is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help own and grow our first-party DeFi products across DeepBook, DeepBook Predict, and the DeepBook app. This role will sit at the center of our effort to make Sui a leading venue for on-chain finance.

This is a role for someone who combines product judgment, technical fluency, financial intuition, and real DeFi usage. You will work across product, engineering, design, legal, marketing, business development, ecosystem partners, market participants, and institutional users to turn product strategy into shipped experiences and measurable adoption.

You should be excited by the challenge of building financial products that real users and institutions can rely on: deeper liquidity, better trading and prediction-market experiences, clearer product funnels, stronger external partnerships, and a DeFi ecosystem that compounds over time.

What You'll Do
  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for first-party DeFi products across DeepBook, DeepBook Predict, and the DeepBook app.

  • Manage and grow product lines from early product discovery through launch, iteration, and scaled adoption.

  • Define, track, and operationalize core product metrics, including liquidity depth, routed volume, active users, conversion, retention, capital efficiency, and institutional usage.

  • Work closely with engineering and design to translate user, partner, and market needs into clear requirements and high-quality product experiences.

  • Partner with business development, ecosystem, marketing, legal, and external teams to bring products to market responsibly and effectively.

  • Build trusted relationships with DeFi protocols, market makers, wallets, aggregators, liquidity providers, institutional users, and other ecosystem participants.

  • Identify product opportunities that make Sui easier and more compelling to use for financial applications.

  • Help convert users and partners into active on-chain behavior, not just interest or pipeline.

  • Develop product narratives, launch plans, and feedback loops that connect product usage to business outcomes.

What You'll Have
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in crypto, DeFi, fintech, trading, financial infrastructure, developer platforms, or another highly technical product area.

  • Strong technical background, either as a former engineer or through demonstrated ability to work deeply with engineering teams and reason through technical tradeoffs.

  • Strong understanding of finance and financial concepts as they relate to DeFi, including liquidity, market structure, risk, yield, capital efficiency, and user incentives.

  • Fluency in DeFi

  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, partners, and internal teams, including the ability to understand user needs and convert them into product decisions.

  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort building dashboards, experiments, and product operating rhythms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn ambiguous product areas into crisp strategy, execution plans, and decisions.

Nice To Have
  • Experience building or scaling exchanges, order books, trading products, prediction markets, wallets, aggregators, lending products, vaults, or institutional financial products.

  • Familiarity with Sui, Move, or object-based blockchain architectures.

  • Experience working directly with market makers, liquidity providers, trading firms, funds, fintechs, or institutional counterparties.

  • Experience launching products in legally complex or regulated financial categories.

  • Prior founder, engineer, trader, DeFi power user, or ecosystem operator experience.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.
