Dave vs. Goliath. We’re Dave.

Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. It is redefining the financial landscape by leveraging technology to create an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans. As a leading innovator in the U.S. financial services sector, Dave’s digital financial platform offers products designed to meet the credit needs of those underserved by traditional financial institutions. Dave’s offerings include its flagship ExtraCash product, providing members up to $500 within minutes. The company is on track to launch several new product offerings in 2026, including a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option.

Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

Flex card is Dave's newest and most ambitious product, a pay-in-4 card built for the millions of members living paycheck to paycheck who've never had fair access to credit. It's not a feature. It's a new business line, and it's just getting started.

This role sits at the center of Flex card's growth and adoption. You'll own meaningful parts of the roadmap from onboarding conversion to activation, engagement, and retention, turning member insights and performance data into features that scale. You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, Credit, Underwriting, Legal, and Operations to improve access, drive usage, and build a card that our members genuinely keep top-of-wallet.

If you like real ownership, innovative financial products, and building for people who are genuinely underserved, this role is for you.

What You’ll Build & Own
  • Drive Flex card adoption: Lead Flex card features from discovery through launch and iteration, spanning onboarding, activation, spend, repayment, and member communication

  • Ship with speed and conviction: Lead your squad through discovery, delivery, and in-market optimization - ensuring fast execution without losing sight of long-term impact.

  • Own the numbers: Drive core metrics including offer-to-activation conversion, card usage, repayment behavior, and member retention

  • Enable flawless execution: Translate goals into clear, prioritized backlogs in partnership with product, research, design, engineering, and data teams, leading to fast, high-quality execution

  • Lead with evidence: Use qualitative research and quantitative data to surface the highest-impact opportunities across the member funnel

  • Champion Flex card evolution: Explore and validate how Flex card evolves as a multi-product experience alongside ExtraCash and Dave Banking

The Impact

Flex card is Dave's bet on becoming top-of-wallet for our members – not just a safety net, but the card they reach for every day. It's cashflow-based, no-credit-check, and built to give members spending power without the traps that come with traditional credit.

In this role, you'll help shape a product in its earliest and most formative stages, making decisions that directly affect member access, financial outcomes, and how Dave grows. The problems are real, the stakes are high, and your fingerprints will be all over it.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in fintech, lending, cards, or related consumer financial products

  • Proven track record of improving growth, conversion, and retention in consumer products

  • Proven ability to manage a complex product surface area with many stakeholders, using strong product judgment to balance user experience, risk, and business outcomes

  • Experience working closely with senior leaders to propose, refine, and ship new initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using data to inform decisions (SQL and/or tools like Looker, Mode, Tableau, or similar)

  • Proven ability to use AI tools as a force multiplier for speed, quality, and impact

Bonus

  • Familiarity with BNPL, installment lending, or open-loop card products

  • Experience with cashflow-based underwriting or alternative credit models

  • Familiarity with consumer credit regulations

Why You’ll Be Successful Here

You thrive in early-stage product environments where the roadmap is still being written. You take ambiguous, high-impact problems and turn them into clear plans that ship, making smart trade-offs between speed, risk, and long-term outcomes. You're rigorous about data but never lose sight of how real members experience the product.

You're adaptable when priorities shift and steady when the stakes are high. You build trust with engineers, designers, and business partners by being clear, prepared, and decisive. You're motivated by real responsibility, welcome visibility with senior leaders, and see complex work as an opportunity to grow.

What to Expect

Real autonomy over a critical, early-stage product. High visibility and real accountability. You'll have direct influence over a product that's still taking shape.

Why join Dave
  • Mission with scale: Tangible impact for millions of members—not theoretical

  • Product at the core: Product is central to how Dave grows and wins

  • Strong partners: Collaborative teams who care about building the right thing

  • Meaningful ownership: Competitive compensation, meaningful equity in a public company (NASDAQ: DAVE), comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching, and flexible PTO
