About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager for Flight User Interface, you’ll lead the development of Skydio’s core interfaces for controlling autonomous drones remotely and in the field. Your work will empower the present and future of drone operations—enabling operators to seamlessly manage and control drone fleets to perform complex, high-value tasks across various platforms and use cases.

You’ll partner closely with design and engineering to build intuitive, high-performance interfaces that make advanced autonomy accessible and actionable. Location

This position is based onsite 5 days/week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. We offer relocation assistance if needed.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

  • Be the overall product owner for Skydio’s flight user interfaces, responsible for building  intuitive and effective control systems for autonomous drones.
  • Craft clear, compelling and detailed documentation of your vision, product narrative, requirements, and roadmap.
  • Engage with customers, prospects, and internal feedback channels to identify pain points, streamline workflows, and enhance overall user experience and polish.
  • Communicate product plans across cross-functional stakeholders, including design, engineering, sales, solutions engineering, marketing, legal, and the executive team.
  • Participate in and lead technical design discussions, helping identify the right tradeoffs and solutions with engineering partners.

What would make you a strong fit:

  • 5+ years defining and delivering market-leading user experiences, including specific experience leading development of operational software used by enterprises or developers.
  • Passion for going deep on hard problems. Our customers operate in complex, real-world environments—your work will help translate this complexity into usable, impactful tools.
  • Deep curiosity for our users. You’ll work with operators in public safety, utilities, and defense, as well as other domains. Traveling to customer sites, understanding their workflows and environments, and representing their interests is critical.
  • Ruthless prioritization instincts. With no shortage of ideas, you’ll focus on the most critical opportunities that move the business forward now and in the future.
  • Strong ownership mindset. You run toward the fire, tackling blockers head-on—whether that’s clarifying a technical detail or helping navigate a regulatory constraint.
  • Technical and analytical fluency. You’re comfortable diving into system architectures and evaluating complex tradeoffs between usability, performance, and scalability.
