Micromedex by Merative is a trusted clinical decision support solution used by clinicians in thousands of hospitals, health systems, payers, and government agencies worldwide. For over 50 years, we’ve delivered evidence-based drug, toxicology, and condition information to help clinicians make confident, timely decisions and educate patients at the point of care.
Micromedex is evolving into an AI-ready clinical knowledge layer, and a key priority is modernizing Formulary Management for pharmacy leaders and P&T committees. As Senior Product Manager for Formulary Intelligence, you will be the driver of a key product area—owning strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery for the next-generation formulary experience. You will set and own outcome-based OKRs (e.g., time-to-decision, data quality, adoption, retention), align stakeholders on tradeoffs, and integrate pricing intelligence, shortage signals, EHR connectivity, and analytics to improve medication access decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience (or equivalent), including demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product area (strategy, roadmap, delivery, and measurable outcomes), ideally in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or health system software
  • Experience delivering AI-assisted or automation-focused product capabilities; you understand model/feature evaluation, responsible AI considerations, and how to partner effectively with data science and engineering
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills—you have written product strategy and requirements documents and presented recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience setting product OKRs, defining measurement/instrumentation, and using data to manage a roadmap and communicate progress to executive stakeholders

Preferred Skills + Experience

  • Direct experience with formulary management, drug pricing, or pharmacy operations—either as a PM building these tools or as a clinical practitioner (pharmacist, pharmacy informaticist) who used them
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex clinical and regulatory workflows into structured, buildable product requirements
  • Experience shipping integrations with EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, or equivalent), including HL7/FHIR data exchange
  • Experience with prior authorization workflows, drug shortage management, or P&T committee processes
  • Working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, API-first product architecture, or clinical decision support integration patterns

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap for Formulary Intelligence across P&T workflow enablement, formulary lookup experiences, integration touchpoints, and AI-assisted insights
  • Use prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE) to make and communicate tradeoff decisions, define OKRs and instrumentation, and recommend sequenced investments, milestones, and success metrics to product leadership
  • Drive cross-functional roadmap alignment across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Sales, and Customer Success

Core Product: Formulary Management

  • Lead requirements for modernizing the formulary data model
  • Own the formulary lookup experience for clinical users: clear status visibility, restriction criteria, therapeutic alternatives, and exception/override pathways aligned to governance policies
  • Own the EHR integration roadmap for formulary use cases, including formulary status display, alternative recommendations, and workflow-aware decision support at the point of prescribing

AI & Data Product Development

  • Define requirements for AI-assisted formulary workflows, such as intelligent search, summarization, and proactive signal surfacing (e.g., shortages, pricing changes)
  • Partner with Engineering and Data to define scalable distribution patterns (APIs, data exports) so formulary data can be consumed across Micromedex surfaces and customer systems
  • Partner with content and editorial teams to ensure clinical knowledge is structured and accessible in formats that support AI-powered product features

Compensation

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.
