About Upstart

At Upstart, we’re united by a mission that matters: to radically reduce the cost and complexity of borrowing for all Americans. Every day, we bring creativity, experimentation, and advanced AI to reshape access to credit, helping millions move forward financially with clarity and confidence.

As the leading AI lending marketplace, we partner with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit through technology that’s both radically intelligent and deeply human. Our platform runs over one million predictions per borrower using more than 1,800 signals, powering smarter, fairer decisions for millions of customers. But the numbers only hint at the impact. Every idea, every voice, and every contribution moves us closer to a world where credit never stands between people and their financial progress.

We’re proudly digital-first, giving most Upstarters the flexibility to do their best work from wherever they thrive, alongside teammates across 80+ cities in the US and Canada. Digital-first doesn’t mean distant. We’re intentional about in-person connection through team onsites, planning sessions, and moments that spark creativity and trust. And whether you choose to work primarily from home or collaborate in-person from one of our offices in Columbus, Austin, the Bay Area, or New York City (opening Summer 2026), you’ll have the support to work in the way that works best for you.

If you’re energized by tackling meaningful problems, excited to innovate with purpose, and motivated by work that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you.

The Team

As a Senior Product Manager within Upstart’s IT team, you’ll define and drive the next generation of enterprise-level products and capabilities that power every Upstarter. The IT team delivers foundational tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, VPN connectivity, and video conferencing — as well as custom-developed solutions that automate workflows, integrate systems, and enhance employee productivity.

As part of Upstart’s GenAI transformation, we’re reimagining how employees access knowledge, collaborate, and leverage intelligent automation. You’ll lead this transformation by defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for GenAI-enabled enterprise solutions — turning complex technical capabilities into intuitive, high-impact products that empower every employee.

Position Location - This role is available in the following locations: Remote; San Mateo, CA; Columbus, OH

Travel Requirements - As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely. The majority of our employees can live and work anywhere in the U.S but are encouraged to to still spend high quality time in-person collaborating via regular onsites. The in-person sessions’ cadence varies depending on the team and role; the IT team meets quarterly for 4-5 consecutive days at a time.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead the product strategy and execution for Upstart’s GenAI-enabled enterprise productivity solutions, shaping the future of internal tools and employee experiences.
  • Translate strategy into action by writing clear, actionable product requirements and success criteria, collaborating closely with key business stakeholders.
  • Establish clear success metrics to evaluate adoption, impact, and continuous improvement across GenAI and productivity solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, InfoSec, People, and Operations) to ensure solutions meet business, compliance, and user experience goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize existing productivity tools, identifying opportunities for integration, automation, or reimagination.
  • Champion employee experience by ensuring every product improves accessibility, discoverability, and productivity for all Upstarters.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum requirements:
    • 6+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years focused on enterprise, SaaS, or internal platform products.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery.
    • Strong technical acumen with experience collaborating closely with engineers on APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
    • Demonstrated success in defining product strategy and delivering measurable impact.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Passion for creating seamless, impactful internal user experiences.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Experience delivering GenAI, LLM, or automation-driven productivity products.
    • Familiarity with enterprise collaboration tools and ecosystems (Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, etc.).
    • Understanding of enterprise data security, access control, and knowledge management.
    • Prior experience in IT or internal platform product management.
    • Relevant certifications or background in AI, product strategy, or enterprise systems.
