This is a critical role where you'll architect the backbone of how users move between fiat and crypto seamlessly. You'll tackle complex challenges around card processing optimization, regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, and conversion rate maximization—all while building the most reliable payments experience in crypto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end payments infrastructure strategy, from card processing to settlement, ensuring industry-leading reliability and conversion rates
  • Design and implement payment flows that navigate complex processor relationships, banking rails, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive aggressive conversion rate optimization initiatives through data-driven experimentation and technical innovation
  • Build sophisticated fraud detection and prevention systems that protect revenue while maintaining frictionless user experiences
  • Partner with engineering to architect scalable payment systems that handle millions of transactions across multiple payment methods
  • Navigate complex compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, AML/KYC) to build products that meet regulatory standards without sacrificing user experience
  • Establish and maintain relationships with payment processors, banks, and card networks to optimize rates and expand capabilities
  • Create detailed PRDs covering edge cases, failure scenarios, and recovery mechanisms for mission-critical payment flows
  • Monitor and analyze payment metrics to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and cost reduction
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with compliance, legal, risk, and fraud teams to ensure comprehensive payment protection
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience with at least 4+ years focused on payments infrastructure
  • Deep technical understanding of card processing ecosystems, including processors, acquirers, issuers, and card networks
  • Proven track record of building compliant, regulated financial products at scale
  • Expert knowledge of payment optimization techniques, including retry logic, routing strategies, and decline recovery
  • Experience implementing fraud prevention systems and managing chargeback programs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex payment data
  • Technical depth to collaborate effectively with engineering on system architecture and API design
  • Experience working with compliance teams on PCI-DSS, AML, and other regulatory requirements
  • Track record of maximizing payment conversion rates and reducing payment failures
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across all levels of organization
Nice to Have
  • Experience with crypto payment rails and blockchain-based settlement systems
  • Knowledge of alternative payment methods (cash, ACH, wire transfers, digital wallets)
  • Background in high-risk payment processing or money transmission
  • Experience with payment orchestration platforms and multi-processor strategies
  • Understanding of global payment systems and cross-border transaction complexities
  • Familiarity with payment industry standards and emerging regulations
