Alt is unlocking the value of alternative assets, starting with the $5 B trading-card market. We let collectors buy, sell, vault, and finance their cards in one place and we are backed by leaders at Stripe, Coinbase, Seven Seven Six, and pro athletes like Tom Brady and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Our next frontier is real-time pricing at scale—the Alt Value that powers every trade, loan, and product on the platform.

We’re hiring a deeply technical Senior Product Manager to own Alt’s pricing and valuation engine (Alt Value) — core infrastructure that powers real-time collection pricing, cash advances, lending, and future asset classes. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, pricing systems, financial modeling, and human-in-the-loop operations, and is responsible for taking our valuation engine from v1 to a world-class, multi-asset platform.

To be successful, you must understand ML modeling approaches (e.g., random forest and other tree-based models), feature engineering, accuracy metrics, pricing systems, and the dynamics of valuing high-end assets. Familiarity with the trading card hobby or alternative assets is a strong advantage.

This is one of the most critical product roles at Alt.

Why This Role Exists:

Alt’s pricing engine (Alt Value) is foundational to our marketplace. It powers real-time pricing for collections, drives our cash advance product, and underpins our lending model. We’re looking for someone who can improve model accuracy, expand pricing coverage, accelerate speed-to-value, and build the ML foundation to scale into new asset categories.

We need a hands-on PM who can own the intersection of ML modeling, pricing, credit decisioning inputs, and human-in-the-loop operations — and turn this into a disciplined, high-velocity roadmap.

What You’ll Own:

1. ML Pricing Engine (Alt Value)

  • Expand Alt Value coverage into new categories and SKUs.
  • Improve accuracy and consistency of valuations, especially for high-end assets.
  • Shape modeling strategy with data science (e.g., random forest, ensemble approaches).
  • Define model inputs, features, constraints, and evaluation metrics.
  • Build tools and dashboards for accuracy curves, drift monitoring, and model performance.

2. Human-in-the-Loop Pricing (HITL)

  • Redesign workflows to reduce pricing turnaround from days → hours.
  • Improve labeling quality, routing, prioritization, and feedback loops into training data.
  • Make HITL predictable, measurable, and scalable.

3. Data Inputs & Infrastructure

  • Define the roadmap for new data sources, attributes, comps, and metadata.
  • Partner with the Data team to ensure pipelines meet model and pricing needs.
  • Ensure freshness, completeness, and reliability of all pricing inputs.

4. Roadmap + Execution

  • Build the quarterly roadmap for pricing, ML, and HITL systems.
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Data, Marketplace Ops, and CX.
  • Communicate priorities clearly and ensure disciplined execution.
Metrics You’ll Own:

Northstar Metric :Pricing Accuracy & Coverage

KPIs:

  • Model accuracy improvement, especially on high-end assets
  • Alt Value coverage
  • Speed of pricing submissions
What Great Looks Like (6 Months)
  • Materially expanded Alt Value coverage across new categories.
  • 40–60% reduction in pricing turnaround time.
  • Significant improvements in high-end accuracy and confidence scoring.
  • A clear, disciplined roadmap for pricing and ML execution.
  • Robust systems for monitoring accuracy, drift, and data quality.
Who You Are:
  • 5–8+ years of PM experience in ML platforms, pricing systems, risk/decisioning, or marketplace dynamics.
  • Deeply technical — comfortable with modeling approaches (random forest, tree-based models), feature engineering, accuracy metrics, and data schema design.
  • Experienced partnering with data science and engineering on model architecture, inputs, constraints, and performance.
  • Strong intuition for pricing systems, valuation mechanics, or financial modeling.
  • Bonus: familiarity with the trading card hobby or alternative asset valuation.
  • Able to go deep into data pipelines and system constraints while driving clear, simple roadmaps.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and take full ownership of outcomes.
What You’ll Get From Us:
  • A seat at the table to help shape the future of Alt and the alternative asset space
  • Autonomy and ownership on projects that matter
  • $100/month work-from-home stipend
  • $200/month wellness stipend
  • WeWork office stipend
  • 401(k) retirement benefits
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Competitive healthcare benefits, including HSA, for you and your dependent(s)

Base salary range: $180,000 - $230,000, plus equity. Offers may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
