In this role you will redefine and relaunch the Tableau Partner Program and help onboard and support technology partners. You will also support our partner first connectivity strategy, which will include leading the releases and updates of partner & Tableau built connectors.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Be the lead for the Tableau Developer Program and Datadev community  enablement

  • Collaborate with the developer community program manager to track and report on key metrics to inform success/failure of the developer program, and plan enhancements accordingly

  • Develop code samples, prototypes, and demos and publish open source code to inspire and help developer and community success.

  • Present Tableau developer platform capabilities at public events and Tableau-led hackathons - teaching developers how to use our platform.

  • Author technical content and opinion including written content, on-demand and live streamed videos, and in-person talks enabling developers on our platform.

  • Work closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams as the “voice of developers” to influence the future of platform capabilities.

  • Gather feedback from developer program members & beta customers on early-stage capabilities.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 

  • Technical aptitude – familiarity with Tableau platform

  • Presentation skills – Experience presenting content and articulating at various depths depending upon audience type. 

  • Solid writing skills to create blogs, documentation, and white papers 

  • Presentation  skills – comfortable presenting content and articulating concepts at various technical depths depending upon audience type, from business users to decision-makers, to technical users.

Education/Experience: 

  • 5 years experience, with 2 years in a customer-facing role 

  • BA/BS degree

  • Pre-/post-sales experience, developer advocacy, or product manager experience

  • Development and customer-facing experience, preferred

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $189,100 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
