JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join B-Stock. This role spans the full breadth of our platform — seller operations, buyer experience, marketplace mechanics, and the infrastructure that connects them. You will work directly with engineering, design, operations, and client teams to ship features that move real metrics for our sellers and buyers.

We are hiring for high agency and sharp product instincts first. Domain fluency matters less than the ability to develop it fast. The ideal candidate uses AI as a core part of how they work — to move faster, think more rigorously, and own more surface area than a traditional PM could. If you thrive in ambiguous environments, communicate directly, and treat shipping as the beginning rather than the end of the job, this role is for you.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive product execution: Own discovery, prioritization, and delivery across multiple product areas simultaneously — from defining the problem through launch and iteration; AI enables you to carry more scope, and we expect you to.
  • Define requirements: Translate business goals and user needs into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can execute with confidence.
  • Own your outcomes: Define success before you build, track it rigorously after launch, and treat adoption and user conversion as your responsibility — not something that happens automatically after shipping.
  • Drive adoption: Take ownership of feature adoption and user conversion to new solutions; shipping is the beginning, not the end.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work effectively with engineering, design, operations, account management, and client teams to align on priorities and remove blockers.
  • Support enterprise clients: Collaborate with account management and operations to translate client needs into product requirements and manage expectations through delivery.
  • Communicate directly: Articulate product strategy, tradeoffs, and progress clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels — from engineering stand-ups to leadership reviews; no hedging, no ambiguity.
  • Prototype and validate fast: Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, rapid prototyping, and hypothesis testing — reducing the time between idea and validated signal.
  • Develop domain fluency: Quickly build working knowledge of the product areas you own and the users who depend on them.
  • Stay current: Actively track product best practices, AI tooling developments, and industry trends — and bring what you learn back to how the team works.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, preferably within a B2B, SaaS, marketplace, or e-commerce environment
  • Education: BA/BS/MS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Track record: Demonstrated history of shipping features with measurable business impact across varied product domains
  • Tools: Proficiency in product management and collaboration tools; comfort working with technical documentation and engaging directly with engineering teams

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • High agency: You take ownership, move without being told, and push for excellence — you're not waiting for a roadmap to be handed to you.
  • Problem framing: Strong ability to define the right problem before jumping to solutions; knows how to separate symptoms from root causes.
  • Technical fluency: Able to read API documentation, understand system architecture tradeoffs, and hold credible conversations with engineering.
  • Data-driven mindset: Proficiency in defining KPIs, analyzing product data, and using insights to drive prioritization and evaluate outcomes.
  • Requirements definition: Strong ability to write detailed PRDs and manage technical backlogs with minimal oversight.
  • Customer obsession: Genuine curiosity about the people you build for — sellers and buyers — and a disciplined habit of validating assumptions before committing to build.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for PRDs, stakeholder updates, and cross-functional alignment.
  • AI fluency: Uses AI tools — including Claude and Claude Code — as a core part of how they work, not a novelty; this means faster research synthesis, sharper PRDs, rapid prototyping, and the ability to carry more product surface area than a traditional PM.
  • Independence: Can work autonomously within a strategic framework, make sound product decisions, and deliver results consistently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with B2B marketplace, auction, or re-commerce platforms
  • Background working across multiple product domains within a single company — seller tools, buyer experience, platform infrastructure, or similar
  • Familiarity with enterprise client dynamics and the product considerations that come with managing large, complex accounts
  • Exposure to logistics, payments, or operational workflows in a product context
  • History of improving adoption metrics and user conversion through deliberate post-launch iteration
  • Experience supporting platform migrations or large-scale feature rollouts
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and continuous delivery

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE?

  • Ships features consistently on time and with high quality — and owns multiple areas simultaneously because AI enables the throughput
  • Defines success metrics before building and tracks them rigorously after launch
  • Drives adoption and user conversion to new solutions — takes ownership beyond the ship date
  • Builds trusted relationships with engineering, design, and operations teams
  • Develops genuine fluency in their product domains and earns credibility as a knowledgeable partner across the organization
  • Identifies problems before they are escalated — and arrives with a well-framed proposal, not just a question
  • Actively uses AI tooling — including Claude and Claude Code — to move faster, write better requirements, and reduce manual overhead across product workflows
  • Begins demonstrating senior-level behaviors: proactively expanding scope, influencing cross-functional direction, and raising the bar for how the team works — including how it uses AI

The pay rate for this role will range between $160,000 to $180,000, per annum. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as the applicant’s work experience, education and training, skills, market data, and internal equity.

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

  • Competitive compensation packages, including bonus and options
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • Paid Time Off, telecommuting, and matching 401(K)
  • Support for continuing education
  • Team offsites, social events, and extracurricular activities are a staple
  • Snacks, drinks, and the occasional box of donuts

THE COMPANY

B-Stock is the world's largest B2B re-commerce platform, connecting sellers and buyers of returned, trade-in, and overstock inventory. Our customers range from today’s top brands and retailers that want best-in-class inventory resale management to tens of thousands of entrepreneurs looking to purchase valuable merchandise for their resale businesses.

While the amount of returned and overstock inventory continues to grow, there is also growing pressure on retailers and consumers to adopt a more circular economy and keep products in use as long as possible. Accordingly, the need for re-commerce solutions - to find products a second life - has never been greater! At B-Stock we’re proud to play a large part in powering resale, reuse, and the circular economy through our platform: annually we sell over 130 million items across all categories and conditions, equating to 400 million pounds of inventory.

We believe there is tremendous value in and demand for this inventory - no matter the category, condition, or location. With hundreds of thousands transactions completed annually, B-Stock gives buyers a simple and direct way to buy valuable products directly from retailers and offers sellers a technology-driven replacement for traditional resale methods, while boosting operational efficiency, recovery rates, and cycle time.

Led by eBay veterans and backed by top investors including Spectrum Equity, True Ventures, and Susquehanna Growth Equity, B-Stock shows no signs of slowing down. Our core values have shaped the company we are today and will continue to drive our success for many years to come.

OUR VALUES
Make Each Dollar Count
Whether it’s the recovery amount or a buyer’s budget, money matters to all of our clients. And because each dollar matters to them, it matters to us.

Take Our Work Seriously, Not Ourselves
Everything at B-Stock continues to grow - everything but our egos, that is. We’re not afraid to let loose and laugh (often at ourselves).

Do The Hard Things Today That Will Pay Off Tomorrow
We’re willing to sacrifice and endure, fail and adapt to reach our long-term goals.

Use Trust As The Best Measure Of Success
The trust we earn along the way is more valuable than money. Without trust from both our buyers and sellers, our business won’t succeed.

Find Strength In Numbers
Use our passion for data to provide value to our customers, improve ourselves, and develop new ways to delight our buyers and sellers.

No applicant will face discrimination/harassment based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, or veteran status. Above and beyond discrimination/harassment based on “protected categories,” B-Stock also strives to prevent other, subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (e.g., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at B-Stock.
Work Authorization required.
