The role drives value to the business by building and maintaining a product backlog in collaboration with the Product Manager, Business Operational leaders, other stakeholders and the Scrum team.

This position is created specifically to assist with Humana's efforts to secure and, if awarded, transition into a new business opportunity. You will collaborate closely with other Product teams across the Humana Military ART, business SMEs, and with dedicated VA IT teams, ensuring all features and stories are captured for the Clinical Operations Value Stream. You may also support the proposal writing team by addressing questions related to product functionality and ensuring alignment with VA CCN opportunity requirements.

During the implementation phase, you will:

  • Collaborate with other product teams to communicate and guide VA product requirements that impact their respective areas of responsibility.

  • Provide support to partnering product teams in implementing solutions that align with VA CCN contract objectives.

  • Transition into full ownership of assigned product(s), applying Scrum Agile best practices to manage backlog, prioritize work, and drive successful implementation.

After implementation is complete and we are in the Healthcare Delivery Phase (on-going), the Senior Product Owner will fully assume Product Owner responsibilities, overseeing backlog management, work prioritization, and continuous value delivery in alignment with Agile best practices.
