Job Description

The Senior Project Manager, Design is responsible for leading the firm’s most challenging design projects, guiding large project teams, managing senior-level client relationships, and improving how the organization delivers projects. The Senior Project Manager, Design will be capable of leading the design of complex capital projects exceeding $100-million in total cost, which include several subcontracts, require a phased packaging strategy, and may utilize aspects of integrated product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver complex design projects, including accountability for all aspects of project performance
  • Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships, becoming a trusted partner leading to future work
  • Create a remarkable experience for project team members and external partners
  • Design policies that positively impact project operations
  • Mentor project managers and assistant project managers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum of seven years of successful Project Management experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Advanced application of project management fundamentals
  • Advanced understanding of all core design disciplines and experience with several aspects of integrated project delivery
  • Demonstrated success acting as a Project Manager in a complex design and construction environment
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence
  • Excellent judgement where standards or precedent is ambiguous
