As a Senior Project Manager, Global Integration Management Office, you will play a key role in the success of integration projects resulting from business acquisitions.

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, you will be responsible for leading these strategic projects, ensuring governance, and coordinating efforts across business and corporate teams (IT, HR, Finance, and Business Services) throughout the acquisition and post-acquisition process. You will monitor project progress with senior management and take charge of backlog integrations related to previous transactions.

This cross-functional role requires strong expertise, political acumen, strategic skills, and the ability to build trust-based relationships with various stakeholders. You will act as a project leader, guiding collaborators while upholding iA Financial Group’s values of collaboration and rigor.

What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Shaping integration strategy by engaging in discussions with senior management, identifying gaps in incomplete integrations, and recommending project targets and priorities.

  • Participating in due diligence reviews to understand key aspects of transactions, anticipate risks, and define necessary mitigation measures.

  • Contributing to financial and operational impact assessments by identifying synergies and integration costs in collaboration with the Mergers & Acquisitions team and stakeholders.

  • Communicating and promoting the strategic vision of integration projects by implementing an appropriate governance structure, including accountability, financial parameters, timelines, and risk/compliance assessments.

  • Developing the master integration plan and roadmap by mapping project interdependencies, assigning deliverables, and coordinating functional teams.

  • Overseeing planning and execution of key steps, including Day-One planning, by mobilizing IT, HR, Finance, and other corporate teams.

  • Coordinating change management and communications to foster engagement and ensure project success.

  • Leading the delivery of the master plan by monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management.

What could accelerate your success in this role
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is recognized for collaborative leadership and ability to mobilize cross-functional teams in integration and transformation projects.

  • Stands out for strong political acumen and ability to build trust with senior-level stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates extensive expertise in managing large-scale projects, including strategic planning, governance, and accountability.

  • Excels in diagnosing and solving complex issues and communicates effectively with senior management.

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, combined with over 15 years of relevant experience in business integration, transformation projects, and strategic project management.

  • Has strong financial knowledge related to integration projects, including synergy and cost evaluation.

  • Shows autonomy, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong decision-making ability, especially in complex and evolving environments.

  • Can work under pressure and adapt to tight deadlines, with flexibility in schedule and availability to meet transaction requirements.

  • Has advanced English proficiency, as the role involves daily oral and written interaction with internal and external partners in Canada and internationally.

  • Has advanced French proficiency, as the role involves daily oral and written interactions with internal and external partners in Canada and internationally.

To succeed as a leader in the Global Integration Management Office, you will need to quickly develop a deep understanding of iA Financial Group, as well as knowledge of major trends and challenges in integration projects within the industry and emerging business models.

Why you’ll love working with us

  • A work environment where learning and development merge with a collective pursuit of excellence.

  • A healthy, safe, fair, and inclusive environment where potential can be freely expressed and developed.

  • The opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, supported by flexibility and access to inspiring and innovative workspaces.
