Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager leads complex, multi-workstream NetSuite implementations from kickoff to post-go live. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, own senior client relationships, and keep projects on time, in scope, and aligned to business goals. You'll also assist in building out processes designed to help future more complex engagements run smoothly.
Qualifications for role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4-5+ years managing ERP implementation projects, with proven ownership of the full project lifecycle.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional resources on medium to large-scale ERP engagements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage senior client stakeholders and internal teams alike.
- Proven organizational skills and a track record of keeping complex projects on track.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar).
It's a plus, though not required, if you also have:
- Prior experience in a NetSuite project environment.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience mentoring other project managers.
- Experience managing executive-level stakeholders and escalations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution (30–35%)
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria with stakeholders.
- Build project plans covering timelines, resources, and risk.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute complex engagements.
- Adjust plans as priorities shift.
2. Client Relationship Management (25–30%)
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients.
- Manage expectations so deliverables stay aligned with business goals.
- Run status meetings and give transparent updates on progress and issues.
- Resolve client concerns quickly to build long-term trust.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration (20–25%)
- Lead project teams and set a collaborative, high-performance tone.
- Assign work and keep the team aligned to objectives.
- Mentor team members, including junior PMs, and support their growth.
- Resolve conflicts that threaten project progress.
4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement (10–15%)
- Apply quality controls so deliverables meet Sky High's standards.
- Run post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
- Stay current on industry trends and PM best practices.
- Push for continuous improvement across the team.
