Project Overview:

Financial Markets (FM) combines deep local expertise with global reach to deliver innovative risk management, financing, and investment solutions. With offerings across fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities, and capital markets, FM partners with clients worldwide to drive sustainable value.
This role sits within the global Equities Technology team, focusing on derivatives trading and risk management platforms. The successful candidate will play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements to support the transition from primarily end-of-day batch systems toward intraday and real-time trading and risk capabilities.

Support SC teams in the delivery of comprehensive Financial Markets IT solution (Discovery & High-Level Planning, Initial Architecture & Tech Stack Validation, software development & testing, and configuration) for few streams:
•    VAR (Value at Risk )
•    Listed Options
•    Convertible Bonds
•    Market Data and Marking Tools enhancements
•    Pricing Engine leveraging Cortex Quant library.
•    Intraday risk management platform enhancements
 

Core of the teck stack: Java, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL and unix/linux.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Professional Experience & Software Quality:
    • Minimum eight years of professional experience in the testing domain, preferably in the banking/insurance sector.
    • Strong understanding of software quality best practices and processes.
    • Experience with a broad range of testing methodologies and practices.
  • Domain Knowledge: Investment Banking Trading & Risk Management:
    • Knowledge of front-office, middle-office, and back-office operations in Cash, Derivatives (F&O), FX, Rates, and Commodities trading.
    • Familiarity with market data, corporate actions, and risk management platforms.
    • Good understanding of risk management functions, risk scenarios, intraday and end-of-day risk, Pnl and PV calculations.
    • Knowledge of market risk and counterparty credit risk calculations.
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements (EMIR, Dodd-Frank, FRTB, MiFID) and new product onboarding.
  • Technical Skills & Collaboration Tools:
    • Knowledge of REST and SOAP-based web services standards and messaging models.
    • Strong understanding of and experience with JSON, XML, and HTTP.
    • Experienced in API testing.
    • Hands-on working experience in SQL, Unix scripting, and Git.
    • Proficiency in collaboration tools like Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, ADO, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration:
    • Work in collaboration with Project Managers and Business Analysts to understand requirements and agree on acceptance criteria.
    • Collaborate with testing team leads to plan, design, and develop test scripts, and take ownership of end-to-end testing delivery.
    • Participate in backlog grooming sessions and daily sprint meetings.
  • Quality Assurance & Execution:
    • Execute manual and automated tests and provide test execution status reports.
    • Ensure software solutions meet business requirements, and detect, document, and report bugs and errors encountered.
    • Facilitate high-quality software deliveries by applying business and functional knowledge, including testing standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Support & Documentation:
    • Support cross-functional teams in integration test efforts, and support user acceptance testing and signoffs.
    • Create and maintain high-quality documentation and effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
