NZ Hi-Tech Company of the Year 2023, Cin7 is a fast-growing global software company that provides solutions for modern-day product sellers. We help these sellers keep track of their inventory at scale, and help them sell their products across multiple sales channels around the world.

Cin7 is expanding very quickly with a mission to become the leading Inventory Management Software brand in the world, and we are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join the team.

How you'll make an impact:

The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for defining and executing the quality strategy within a cross-functional team. This role moves beyond simple execution to serve as a functional lead — determining methods for testing complex systems, designing and integrating modern test automation (including AI-assisted tooling), improving internal policies, and mentoring the team to ensure high-quality software delivery and a superior user experience.

This is a hands-on technical role embedded in an Agile/Scrum environment, working closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams across the full SDLC. You will be a quality advocate who drives standards, owns risk, and enables others.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end testing for complex features, from strategy through execution, with minimal oversight
  • Design and evolve test strategies, frameworks, and methodologies across web, API, and data workflows
  • Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Improve quality practices by refining QA processes, tooling, and documentation
  • Perform and guide manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) where automation isn’t sufficient
  • Lead risk assessment and quality decision-making throughout the development lifecycle
  • Execute performance, load, and basic security testing to ensure system reliability
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, execution, and coverage
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design in planning and release readiness
  • Mentor and support team members, raising overall quality standards and capability

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of QA experience, with growth into test strategy and process improvement
  • Experience in SaaS environments, ideally with complex, data-heavy systems (e.g. inventory, ERP, fintech)
  • Strong automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and CI/CD integration
  • Solid understanding of API testing, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Deep knowledge of testing practices across manual and automated approaches
  • Strong exploratory and risk-based testing skills for complex applications
  • A proactive quality mindset, influencing design decisions and reducing technical debt
  • Curiosity for new tools and trends, including AI-assisted testing
  • A collaborative, adaptable approach with a passion for mentoring and team growth

Why work for us?

  • Hybrid Working Environment - 3 days work from home per week
  • Option to work 30 days every six months fully remote from anywhere in the world
  • Celebrate your birthday with a paid day off
  • A Global Wellness Day celebrated companywide, providing you a dedicated holiday to focus on your own wellbeing.
  • Fully paid health insurance
  • Monthly Social Fridays drinks and food on us
