Job Summary

Join Payscale as a Senior QA Engineer and help shape the future of our products through quality and innovation. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with the latest technologies to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Do

  • Review and analyze new feature requirements and design specifications

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to define testing strategies for various components

  • Develop and execute comprehensive functional test plans and test cases, both automated and manual

  • Create test coverage reports and other quality-related documentation

  • Perform project and defect tracking using standard tools and processes

  • Drive and enforce QA best practices and continuous process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a software Quality Assurance role

  • 4+ years of experience in a QA Automation role

  • Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)

  • Basic programming skills with one of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java or Python.

  • Ability to support, maintain and execute automated functional tests.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience using issue/project tracking tools such as JIRA

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test case management systems (e.g., Qase, TestRail, Zephyr)

  • Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI tooling to aid in test case generation and developing automated tests (OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

SQL skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL)

  • High-Speed Internet - A stable broadband or fiber connection (satellite is highly discouraged) with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in a dedicated workspace that has a reliable Wi-Fi signal.

  • Device for Multifactor Authentication (MFA/2FA) - smartphone, tablet, etc.

When it matters (usually no more than a few times a year) we take the time to gather in larger groups for in-person events.

Payscale has employees across the US, Canada, UK, The Philippines and Romania however we are currently unable to hire in the Quebec Province, Northern Ireland, and Hawaii.
