About NewLimit

NewLimit is a biotechnology company working to radically extend human healthspan. We’re developing medicines to treat age-related diseases by reprogramming the epigenome, a new therapeutic mechanism to restore regenerative potential in aged and diseased cells. We leverage functional genomics, pooled perturbation screening, and machine learning models to unravel the biology of epigenetic aging and disease using experiments of unprecedented scale.

Position

NewLimit is seeking an Senior/Research Associate with experience in discovery biology to join our Vascular therapeutic team. Our Vascular program is developing reprogramming medicines to restore youthful function in aged endothelial cells for the treatment of renal, cardiometabolic, and cognitive diseases.

In your role as a Senior/Research Associate, you will:

  • Isolate cells from primary tissues to optimize in vitro functional assays
  • Develop pre‑clinical models of age-related dysfunction
  • Collaborate with our Single Cell Technology, Epigenetic Editing, and Predictive Modeling teams to design, build, and test epigenetic reprogramming interventions at scale
  • Support the development of in vivo nucleic acid delivery methods for endothelial cells
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to drive pre-clinical decision making
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field with 2‑5 years of relevant industry or academic experience
  • Proficiency in primary mammalian cell culture and animal handling techniques for rodent models
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry techniques
  • Exceptional organizational skills, as demonstrated by detailed record-keeping in a lab notebook and an ability to effectively carry out multiple ongoing projects or experiments
Nice to have
  • Experience with isolation and functional characterization of primary cells
  • Experience developing animal models of cell dysfunction and/or injury
  • Experience with FACS and flow cytometry
  • Experience using computational tools to automate routine data analysis (e.g. Python, R, etc.)
Benefits

NewLimit offers generous benefits to ensure our team can focus on our mission:
