WHAT YOU’LL DO

 
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of autonomous capabilities for heavy construction equipment

  • Architect high-level planners for new construction tasks

  • Mentor and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams through technical design reviews and implementation

  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and operations teams to integrate robotic systems into the field

  • Improve reliability, safety, and performance of deployed autonomous systems

  • Own technical road maps and help shape long-term product strategy

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

 
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience developing robotics or autonomous systems

  • Strong proficiency in Python and C++

  • Experience with robotic frameworks such as ROS/ROS2

  • Experience with controls, motion planning, localization, and/or perception systems

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and real-time software architectures

ABOUT THE COMPANY & ROLE

Built Robotics’ mission is to build the robots that build the world. By automating repetitive tasks in the $300 billion solar industry, Built is bridging the workforce gap to accelerate our transition to clean energy.

The starting annual base salary range for this role is $185,000 to $210,000. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications, working location, and market demands. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation, benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, cell phone and internet reimbursement and more.
