Job Overview

This role serves as the bridge between Sales and internal stakeholders during the commercial contracting process. Acting as both a project manager and strategic coordinator, the position drives alignment across Sales, Legal, Finance, Project Delivery, Operations, Product, and Leadership to ensure customer agreements are structured, reviewed, approved, and executed efficiently. 

The role is responsible for proactively coordinating cross-functional activities, removing blockers, driving accountability, and maintaining momentum throughout the deal lifecycle. In addition to supporting day-to-day deal execution, this position plays a key role in identifying process gaps, implementing scalable improvements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance contracting efficiency, visibility, communication, and overall commercial operations effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales teams to support customer contracting from pre-deal structuring through execution
  • Act as the primary cross-functional coordinator between Sales and internal stakeholders during commercial negotiations
  • Drive alignment among Legal, Finance, Project Delivery, Product, and Executive teams on deal terms
  • Translate commercial objectives into actionable internal requirements and approvals
  • Facilitate internal review and approval workflows for customer agreements
  • Maintain visibility into active deal pipelines and proactively remove blockers to contract execution
  • Track contract status, approvals, open issues, and execution timelines across multiple concurrent deals
  • Partner with Legal to standardize templates, fallback positions, and negotiation guidance

Operational Excellence / Process Improvement

  • Build scalable systems and processes to improve contracting efficiency and cycle times
  • Analyze bottlenecks and recommend process improvements 
  • Develop reporting and metrics related to contract turnaround time, approval timelines, and deal velocity
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across commercial operations and deal execution
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline contracting workflows and improve visibility into deal status

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Preference for direct experience negotiating PPA, tolling, lease and other financed contracts
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation support capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM and contract lifecycle management tools (Salesforce, Ironclad, DocuSign, etc.)
  • Ability to balance customer responsiveness with internal business requirements and risk management
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building scalable processes

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
