About you and this role


Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist located in our Pacific Northwest region. This role focuses on supporting small to medium-size customers and managing distribution within the market. In addition, you will work with large accounts, oversee non-selling processes, and build strong relationships with key influencers. Key responsibilities include generating leads, defining sales territories, managing sales analytics, providing technical solutions to customer challenges, and engaging through multiple communication channels—whether face-to-face, by phone, or via email. The scope of this position can be regional and segment-specific depending on business alignment, and occasionally global.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain and expand the account portfolio and Dow presence in the region.
  • Understand the customer needs to differentiate Dow and gain share market.
  • Search new product development opportunities within the market.
  • Maintain customer relationships and expand network to different levels within a customer’s organization.
  • Execute sales/marketing plan, delivering in volume and value. Develop the sales plan aligned to the marketing plan in coordination with other functions.
  • Develop sales forecasts in coordination with Production and Supply Chain.
  • Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape sales plan. Get and analyze data to take decisions about new product development.
  • Lead and conduct negotiations and develops and implement price strategies aligned with business goals considering legal implications, customs regulations and Dow sales processes.
  • Collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.

Qualifications


  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Skills


  • Commercial Acumen: Previous commercial/customer-interfacing related experience.
  • Sales Process: Prior Sales experience including demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cross-business sales.
  • Sales Analytics Tools: Proficiency in CRM, DSR, OMP, SmartPrice, & Microsoft Office.
  • Communication: Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
