What you can expect

We are looking for a Senior Build & Release Engineer with a keen analytical mindset to lead the integration of AI into our software delivery lifecycle. In this role, you will naturally excel at breaking down complex technical challenges to find the most efficient path forward. You will be a key driver in transforming our routine build and release operations into an intelligent, data-driven workflow.

About the Team

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

The AI Build and Release team focuses on transforming traditional software delivery into intelligent, data-driven process that integrates artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Building AI-powered diagnostic tools and implement systems that ingest logs and performance metrics from CI systems to automatically identify, explain, and propose fixes for build-system regressions or runner performance issues.

  • Designing and implementing frameworks to measure the tangible impact of AI tools on the engineering team. You will analyze developer telemetry to identify how AI integration affects velocity, code quality, and the overall routine of the release cycle.

  • Building AI Integration Tools: You will develop and manage the tools that link our core infrastructure with AI models. This includes building user-friendly interfaces so the team can easily track system performance and team productivity through clear, AI-processed insights.

  • Maintaining a proactive curiosity for new frameworks and AI models, evaluating their potential to improve our core delivery infrastructure and routine workflows.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development or related engineering fields.

  • Sound Analytical Depth: A proven track record of solving high-complexity problems and a passion for studying advanced technical solutions and design approaches.

  • Need to have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$124 000,00

Maximum:

$271 200,00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
