About the Role

Our Engineering team creates innovative product experiences that power personalized marketing at massive scale. We develop cutting-edge applications and systems that process 100s of billions of messages and events per year, enabling marketers to connect effectively with hundreds of millions of consumers. Our Identity team ensures that all the data Attentive captures across multiple sources is associated with the right person, critical to all downstream messaging and personalization. We use multiple strategies to maintain a robust Identity graph and are constantly experimenting to drive our capture and accuracy rates higher.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Identity team, you will own and improve a critical system that processes billions of events per day, ensuring its stability and performance as we layer on additional identification strategies and guardrails. At the same time, you will contribute to multiple experiments to drive our identity capture and accuracy higher across the stack, working alongside our frontend engineers or delivering solutions for our data scientists. You will work closely with Product, Data Science, and Analytics.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Design, build, and optimize high-scale systems that accurately resolve fragmented customer identities across first-party and third-party data sources
  • Develop advanced session enrichment capabilities to enhance anonymous and known user tracking, improving attribution and personalization
  • Build core matching algorithms that power real-time identity stitching, device graphing, and unified customer profiles
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data science, product, and analytics teams to create flexible identity models that support a wide range of business use cases.
  • Define and enforce data quality, privacy, and security standards for customer and session data across all ingestion and resolution pipelines.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve the accuracy, speed, and scalability of our identity resolution and tracking systems.

Your Expertise

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience maintaining high-scale, real-time data processing systems
  • Strong communication skills and a product-oriented mindset. Able to understand the “what” and “why” behind technical work, collaborate effectively with Product and Analytics teams, and translate business needs into scalable solutions

For US based applicants:

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $210,000 annually + equity + benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
