About Magical

Magical is an agentic automation platform bringing state-of-the-art AI to healthcare—delivering AI agents that actually work in production.

We're building "AI employees" that automate the repetitive, time-consuming workflows that slow teams down. Our focus is healthcare—a $4 trillion industry buried in administrative complexity—where we automate claims processing, prior authorizations, and eligibility checks, enabling providers to focus on patient care.

Our Traction

The shift to agentic automation in healthcare is inevitable, and we're leading it:

• Dramatic acceleration in revenue growth with customers expanding into new workflows before renewal

• 7-day proof-of-concepts that demonstrate real value fast, in an industry where months is the norm

• Self-healing automations with production-grade reliability at scale, where most competitors fail to launch

Unlike many AI companies making bold promises, we ship reliable solutions that deliver measurable results. We're backed by Greylock, Coatue, and Lightspeed with $41M raised. Our founder, Harpaul Sambhi, is a second-time founder who successfully sold his first company to LinkedIn.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Engineer on the Builder Experience team, you'll build the full-stack features that empower teams to create, configure, and deploy AI agents. You'll own the entire product surface—from intuitive no-code interfaces for agent configuration to real-time monitoring dashboards and evaluation tools.

This role is for engineers who love building delightful product experiences and understand that great UX is what makes powerful technology accessible. You'll work closely with customers and our design team to ship features that make agent development feel magical, while deeply understanding the underlying agent systems to build the right abstractions.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our San Francisco office.

In this role, you will

• Build beautiful, intuitive full-stack features for agent configuration, testing, and deployment

• Design and implement no-code tools that allow non-technical users to guide and evaluate AI agents

• Create real-time monitoring and debugging experiences that surface agent behavior clearly

• Build simulation and evaluation interfaces that help teams ensure their agents work correctly

• Own the agent development workflow end-to-end, from initial creation through production deployment

• Work directly with customers to understand their needs and rapidly iterate on solutions

Your background looks something like this

• Have 4+ years of full-stack product engineering experience, with strong proficiency in TypeScript and React

• Track record of shipping polished, user-facing features that customers love

• Strong bias towards action and embody "show > tell"—you ship features and iterate quickly

• High degree of agency: you effectively prioritize, unblock yourself, and drive projects forward without much outside input

• Value taking ownership and responsibility for your features and the user experience

• Studied Computer Science (or related field), or dropped out to build stuff

• Located in SF or willing to relocate

Even better

• Prior experience building AI-powered products or developer tools

• A sharp eye for design and product quality

• Experience with real-time interfaces, data visualization, or collaborative editing

• Understanding of agent systems, LLMs, or evaluation frameworks

• Track record of building products that balance power and simplicity

We're building the best self-serve agentic automation platform for the healthcare industry—and we're just getting started. Come join us.
