About CoinList
CoinList is reimagining how capital is raised and managed. We help the best builders in the world launch and grow — having raised over $1.2B for teams like Solana, Ondo, Aztec, and 375AI, and giving 12M+ verified investors access to the next generation of on-chain assets.
Today, CoinList is scaling two core businesses:
- The Consumer Marketplace (coinlist.co): The world's leading destination to invest in token sales, pre-IPO stocks, tokenized equities, and on-chain funds.
- Passage (B2B Infrastructure) (passage.coinlist.co): "Onchain Infrastructure for Capital Markets." Passage allows issuers to run compliant raises on our platform or embed CoinList’s deal flow into their own products via APIs and SDKs.
Why This Role Exists
We have a strong engineering team with deep expertise in infrastructure, blockchain, and specialized domains. We are looking for a product engineer who can own product features from concept to deployment — someone who can rapidly iterate on ideas, ship independently, and help us accelerate our product adoption.
You'd be joining a small engineering team and directly reporting to the CTO in a greenfield-heavy environment where your work directly affects velocity, company direction, and revenue.
What You'll Do
- Own features end-to-end from product discussion and design to implementation and launch.
- Build greenfield products for issuers and distribution partners. This is 90%+ of your focus.
- Ship fast and iterate. Test ideas quickly, get them in front of users, and learn from the feedback.
- Leverage AI. Use AI tools to accelerate your development workflow. Stay critical.
- Work across the stack — backend (Elixir/Phoenix + REST APIs) and frontend (TypeScript/Next.js). AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
Experience
- 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack capability — You’re comfortable building and shipping independently from concept to production.
- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver product features without heavy hand-holding
- Strong communication with non technical stakeholders
- Strong engineering leadership skills, including mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance and feedback, driving technical decision-making, and effectively managing stakeholder relationships.
Technical Skills
- Backend: Working knowledge of Elixir/Phoenix or equivalent backend framework experience
- Frontend: TypeScript + modern frameworks (Next.js preferred)
- APIs: Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Fundamentals: Strong grasp of system design, data structures, and clean code principles
How You Work
- You're AI-fluent. You integrate AI tools into your daily workflow naturally (not for token-burning, just for moving faster).
- You're product-minded. You care about what you're building and why, not just how.
- You're independent but collaborative. You can move fast on your own and know when to loop others in.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity. You don't need perfect requirements to start building.
- You have strong written communication, which is especially important in a distributed, remote-first team.
Other Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in fintech or crypto
- Production experience with Elixir/Phoenix or Next.js
- Experience building for issuers, distribution platforms, or marketplace-style products
- Startup or early-stage company experience
Remote & Timezone
- Fully remote
- We're based primarily on the US East Coast, with some team members in Europe
- You should be comfortable overlapping reasonable hours with Eastern Time
Benefits

Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision at no monthly cost (US only)
- Unlimited PTO
- Monthly AI tool budget
