As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be a technical subject matter expert with experience in defining, automating, and integrating technical/functional Autodesk solutions that create competitive advantage for companies in the industry space. You’ll work closely with our customers’ leadership teams to architect and design innovative solutions with specifications that can be traced to business strategy and success metrics.

Employing industry standard methodologies and frameworks, you’ll lead a team to build solutions that improve our customer’s business processes, workflows, and software tools by enabling automations and integration across their enterprise. By educating customers on key architecture considerations, estimating effort and resources required, and advising on implementation decisions, you create a clear path to successfully develop, integrate, and deploy new solutions.

You will report to a manager who leads a team of Solution Architects. You will work closely with a team of Solution Architects collaborating to improve the teams’ capabilities and to ensure customer success. You will also work with a team of technical consultants who will implement our solutions. You will be asked to work with sales teams helping to define strategies that will lead to better outcomes for Autodesk and for our customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Work with customer and sales team to understand and document customer needs, business requirements and software needs.

· Define system and software architectures to enable customers to solve their business problems and enable business execution.

· Build cost and effort estimates for proposed software solutions.

· Understand and identify solution risks and ensure risk mitigation strategies are employed as part of solution plan.

· Keeps abreast with technology trends (innovative and disruptive) affecting our customers.

· Be a contributing member of both sales and development teams.

· Act as an advocate for both customers and for Autodesk in discussion promoting activities and investments that will promote the best interests of all parties, acting as a “Trusted Partner”.

· Support and enable an attitude of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

· Lead and Mentor developers and 3rd party consultants

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or in an Engineering field.

· 5+ years of software engineering experience with relevant BS degree, or 5+ years with advanced degree

Skills Requirements:

· Experience in process industry with experience in process design, process equipment design, and process documentation.

· Experience with Autodesk design tools including Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD

· Experience with 3D modeling of manufacturing facilities

· Experience in creating P&ID, PFT, or other schematic engineering documents

· Strong programming skills, with an understanding of software architecture patterns and principles.

· Practical experience building or integrating web services

Preferred Qualifications

· Candidate have implemented applications in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google.

· Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data governance

· Experience with relational, No SQL, and graph databases

· Experience in solutions in Manufacturing Industry

· Experience in solutions in AEC Industry

· Knowledge of or Certified in Architecture Assessment Methods like TOGAF

· Experience working as a consultant

· Experience with Autodesk software

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $89,900 and $155,100. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
