BAE Systems is seeking Senior SPY Radar Technician with experience performing comprehensive maintenance for Navy shipboard radars. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Navy 3-M system. You will install, inspect, align, groom, modify, repair, and configure AN/SPY-1 and AN/SPY-6(V) radar equipment associated with AEGIS and SSDS platforms. Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and provides AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This position requires a high school or GED diploma and ten (10) years of experience providing organizational-level preventive and corrective maintenance for AN/SPY-1B/D. Must certify as a Navy 3-M Maintenance Person in accordance with PQS 301 within your first 3 months of employment or provide proof of previous certification. Must have experience with test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers.
Must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40-hour work-week configurations, including:
1. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift
2. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift
3. Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift
4. Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift
**Additonally, these work week configurations may rotate to meet mission requirements.

- U.S. Navy 3-M PQS 301 Maintenance Person qualification or higher and experience with SKED.

- Experience with lockout/tagout and working aloft.
