We're seeking a visionary Senior Staff AI Engineer/Technical Lead to drive the development of AI-powered internal software development processes, toolchains, general framework and utility development to enhance developer productivity. You will work with advanced technologies such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning and AI agents to enhance various aspects of software engineering and product development, including unit testing, code generation, AI triage and other novel AI-driven product features. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of LLM applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain internal AI building blocks and streamline for cost effective fine-tuning.
- Leverage AI to improve software engineering processes, including improving AI automated unit test generation, code generation and code documentation.
- Leverage AI and develop novel AI-driven features and capabilities to boost autonomous driving development productivity, including AI powered simulation, ticket triage tools and etc.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate LLMs into production systems, ensuring low latency and high throughput.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for AI application and innovation for development productivity improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Master or Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years in developing AI products/systems, and expertise in Python and C++.
- Deep understanding of LLM architectures (GPT, Llama, QWEN, etc..).
- Hands-on expertise in LLM fine-tuning, deployment and inference optimization.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Ali Cloud) and containerization (Docker).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic, business-driven solutions.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $244,140-$413,160, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
