Location: (Hybrid, US, Preferred)

Role:

Own the design and deployment of advanced predictive models for oncology applications using sequencing data from epigenomic and genomic assays. You’ll develop, validate, and ship models that power high-resolution characterization of patient cancers using multimodal data (liquid biopsy, tissue and real-world outcomes) to provide actionable insights for patient treatment and disease monitoring.

What you’ll do:

  • Modeling & research.
  • Build production-grade predictive models for oncology applications (e.g. therapy response, MRD, tumor characterization).
  • Develop advanced models (including deep learning-based architectures) for high dimensional and multimodal data leveraging extensive internal datasets.
  • Advance self-supervised/foundation representations for genomic, DNA methylation, fragmentomics, and tissue imaging data.
  • Design and execute validation plans; define performance targets and communicate results across functions to drive deployment of advanced models into production.
  • Collaborate with external scientific leaders, medical affairs, laboratory directors, external collaborators to drive publications and conference presentations.

Data & engineering:

  • Shape feature stores and reproducible pipelines from raw assay outputs to model-ready tensors
  • Ship models via MLOps best practices (containerization, CI/CD, experiment tracking, monitoring, model cards).
  • Work closely with technology development, software, product, medical, and regulatory teams to turn models into patient-impacting products.
  • Author clear technical docs and present results to scientific and executive audiences.

Qualifications

  • PhD (CS/EE/Bioinformatics/Statistics/Applied Math or related) or MS with equivalent experience.
  • Strong ML/AI depth with hands-on work experience with deep learning (PyTorch)
  • Proficiency in Python and scientific stack (sklearn); solid software engineering skills (tests, code review, version control).
  • Experience with large-scale data, distributed compute, containerization (Docker) and cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Domain expertise in analysis of genomic data: cfDNA (SNVs/indels/CNAs), methylation/epigenomics, fragmentomics, RNA-seq
  • Track record of publications, patents and conference presentations
