About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and help shape the future of our web infrastructure. In this role, you will architect high-performance applications that push the boundaries of modern web capabilities. We are seeking someone with a strong background in JavaScript, React, Next.js, and experience in technologies like PWAs and SSR. You will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, solving complex problems and collaborating effectively with team members and partners. Your role will include mentoring others, suggesting process improvements, and driving best practices. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our products and user experiences, creating visually stunning and high-performing applications.
Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Design and develop scalable full-stack web applications using React, NextJS and Typescript, focusing on high availability and low latency.
- Optimize Performance: Drive the implementation of advanced web technologies, such as Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to ensure optimized user experiences.
- Drive Best Practices: Lead the adoption of the engineering best practices including observability and testing to ensure our code is efficient, scalable, and maintainable
- Mentor & Lead: Act as a technical leader within the team—mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and managing stakeholders.
- Innovate: Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you will have the autonomy to suggest process improvements and influence product roadmap decisions.
Ideal Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional web development experience, with a demonstrated history of shipping robust, high-scale applications.
- Core Frontend: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React workflows. Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar) and component libraries (Material UI is a plus).
- Server-Side & API: Strong production experience with server-side technologies like Node.js and Next.js. Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC is a plus
- Styling & UI: Deep understanding of CSS preprocessors (SASS) or CSS-in-JS libraries, with a keen eye for UI/UX standards, including Accessibility (a11y) and Internationalization (i18n).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend engineers, and product managers, in distributed environments
- Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews.
