Senior Staff Salesforce CRM Functional Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce CRM Functional Architect with extensive hands-on experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud to design and drive scalable, high-impact CRM solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of CRM strategy, process design, data architecture, and cross-cloud integrations. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a tactical expert capable of translating business needs into robust Salesforce solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Define and architect end-to-end solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce architecture.
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design workshops, and roadmap planning.
  • Define and enforce architectural governance standards and patterns to ensure consistency and maintainability.

Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Data, and IT teams to understand functional requirements and convert them into Salesforce features and configurations.         
  • Create detailed documentation including business process flows, user stories, solution designs, and configuration guides.
  • Drive cross-cloud design alignment and ensure seamless data flow between Sales, Data, and Marketing Clouds.

Implementation & Integration

  • Oversee technical implementation with developers, admins, and third-party vendors.
  • Guide integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Order Management Systems, external data sources).
  • Provide expert-level support on data modeling, API utilization, and data governance.

Change Management & Enablement

  • Lead user adoption efforts by creating and delivering training materials.
  • Champion CRM best practices across the organization.
  • Establish KPIs to evaluate the success of implemented solutions and iterate on improvements to enhance their effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant industry professional experience in CRM with at least 7+ years of Salesforce-specific experience.
  • Proven Technofunctional experience architecting and delivering complex, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations.
  • Expertise with Flow Builders, Apex Classes, SoQL Queries, and Connector Integrations
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Sales Cloud: Lead/opportunity management, Accounts and Contacts, territory management, forecasting, CPQ, Conversion of Opportunity to Order, Payment Methods
    • Marketing Cloud: Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Interaction Studio.
    • Data Cloud: Customer 360, data ingestion pipelines, identity resolution, data harmonization.
  • Expertise in Salesforce data modeling, declarative automation, and AppExchange solutions.
  • Experience with tools such as MuleSoft, Tableau CRM, and CDP integrations.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project delivery methodologies.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.
  • Experience working in a regulated or enterprise-grade environment (e.g., biotech, healthcare, or finance).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how they apply to Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership presence and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on outcomes.

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.
