Develop and execute sourcing strategies for charging infrastructure needed for Zoox's fleet of robotaxis, including supplier selection and contract negotiations.
In this role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for the equipment and services needed to support Zoox’s fleet of robotaxis. This includes identifying and vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships for components like EV chargers and maintenance services. This role is critical to Zoox’s fleet scaling goals, ensuring the company can build out a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable charging infrastructure to support our fleet of robotaxis.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and partner with charging providers: Negotiate contracts and manage partnerships with charging providers
- Conduct partner, industry, and market research to develop a charging infrastructure partnership strategy
- Identify and evaluate potential charging sites in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
- Drive cost transparency and build total cost of ownership models to support partnership decisions
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key charging infrastructure partners as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues
- Manage internal stakeholders with respect to partner selection and management
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, including operations, legal, and engineering, to ensure that sourcing strategies align with Zoox’s Roadmap
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Bachelors in business/engineering or equivalent
- At least 7 years of experience in developing and/or deploying charging infrastructure projects
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing or Partnership Management
- Experience managing and engaging with EVSE suppliers or charging site development providers
- Experience with high-powered charging equipment projects and installations

- Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details
