Who we are

Picogrid is a leading venture-backed defense technology company founded to bridge the decades-long gap between modern technology and the critical demands of national security. Today, we're building the essential infrastructure to unify sensors, autonomy, and operators with our technology deployed in active operations around the world. Our mission is to deliver an operational advantage to secure the United States and its allies.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Supply Chain Manager to partner directly with the CEO and executive team to drive operational excellence in manufacturing across operations, production, and engineering. This role is full cycle supply chain management—you’ll help build and operate Picogrid’s MRP system while ensuring today’s priorities in production get done with precision and speed.

You’ll sit at the center of the company’s manufacturing planning, managing relationships with deployments and external vendor partners, and ensuring that production scales without losing momentum. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments and executes relentlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle Supply Chain Management.

  • MRP execution: Populate/run/maintain MRP, validate output, convert planned orders into purchase/work orders.

  • Inventory control: Prevent shortages and excess. Manage reordering and vendor relations.

  • Supplier coordination: Place POs, track confirmations, expedite/de-expedite, manage lead times and delivery schedules.

  • Production support: Ensure materials arrive in time for builds. Resolve shortages, discrepancies, and quality holds.

  • Demand forecasting: Translate sales forecasts, production schedules, and historical usage into material requirements.

  • Data accuracy: Maintain item masters, BOM accuracy, lead times, MOQ, and cost data.

  • KPI ownership: Monitor OTIF, inventory turns, aging stock, shortages, and planner buys.

  • Continuous improvement: Optimize planning parameters, reduce lead times, improve reliability of supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Experience in defense technology, aerospace, or a similarly complex operational environment.

  • Strong understanding of material planning, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing management at a fast-paced hardware company.

  • Proven ability to execute complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documents and briefings.

  • High discretion and sound judgment with sensitive information.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action—comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former founder or early employee at a venture-backed tech company.

  • Experience in material planning, supply chain coordination, or operations.

  • Background in manufacturing management.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Meaningful stock options with a high potential upside as an early-stage company

  • 401(k) with employer matching

  • Full health coverage

  • Relocation assistance

  • Unlimited PTO (two-week minimum) and 11 paid holidays per year

  • Paid parental leave for both parents

  • Complimentary lunch and stocked kitchenette when in-office

  • Free EV charging on-site.

Export Control Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
