The Senior Systems Administrator troubleshoots servers and network issues, manages Microsoft 365 environments, and provides client support with a focus on technology assessments and documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of servers, network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services
- Setup, configure, and troubleshoot complex server environments
- Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide technical assistance and support
- Administration of systems and servers related to your position to ensure availability of services to authorized users
- Administer & maintain Microsoft 365 environments including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Security, Purview, Compliance, and Licensing control
- Manage and support backup platforms such as Datto, Cohesity, and Cove, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and full platform ownership
- Adopting and learning new technologies to better support our MSP environment
- Provide remote and onsite support to clients, ensuring high satisfaction and clear communication
- Communicate directly with clients regarding support requests and informational inquiries.
- Perform high level technology assessments
- Assume additional duties as defined by supervisor and executive management
- Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, configurations, and platform ownership
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Minimum seven years of professional experience in a computer or systems related field
Preferred
- Four or more minor certifications, or one major certification as identified by Aureon Technology technical certification list. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
- MSP or multi-tenant support experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in a related field or equivalent experience
- DNS, SSL/TLS Certificate Experience is a plus

- Superior internal & external facing, written, and oral communication skills with both clients & colleagues
- Knowledge of a wide variety of hardware, software, and communication technologies
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE:
- Proficiency with Windows PCs, Mac’s, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Entra ID, Exchange Admin Center, Purview, and Security portals
- Experience with on-prem & and cloud-based backup solutions (Datto, Cohesity, and Cove)
- Familiarity with FortiGate network equipment preferred
- Knowledge and use of a wide variety of hardware, software, and communication technologies
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Indoor work primarily in office environment, both company and customer
- Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen
- Occasional bending, carrying, squatting, twisting, and lifting 60 pounds independently
- Occasional travel by vehicle
