Who are we?

Antioch is the agentic simulation platform for robotics and autonomy. Teams design, train, and test physical systems in high-fidelity cloud simulation, accelerated by 3D-native agents. We build precision-calibrated digital twins and run massively parallel simulation scenarios, so customers spend less time on expensive, slow real-world testing. Our customers include leading robotics, autonomy, and perception teams working in manufacturing, logistics, construction, and safety.

Who are we looking for?

Technical artists who will develop our sim-ready asset pipeline and build the content and tools that make our simulation high-fidelity, performant, and reusable. You'll work across procedural and hand-crafted environments, character animation pipelines, real-time visual FX, and physics systems (Newton, PhysX). This is an early, high-ownership builder role, and it is development-heavy with an eye for artistry.

What you'll do

  • Build Python tools for the sim-ready USD asset pipeline: procedural environments, character animation processing, Gaussian splat tooling, CAD-to-real-time pipelines, robotic asset configuration, custom MDL shaders, and real-time FX.
  • Research and implement new asset creation and processing methods, with a focus on simulation readiness and sensor-ready materials for camera, radar, lidar, and infrared.
  • Build high-quality environments from customer-provided, internally designed, and asset-store sources, working with customers and sim engineers.
  • Represent Antioch in customer conversations and site visits.

What we're looking for

  • A strong portfolio showing procedural thinking and custom tooling for real-time game engine or VFX pipelines, with a preference for Python.
  • Deep knowledge of PBR materials and custom shader design, with significant experience in MDL, MaterialX, or Unreal Engine shader networks.
  • Experience building procedural scene tools in Unreal Engine PCG, Houdini, or Blender Geometry Nodes.
  • Expertise in Gaussian splatting and generative 3D modeling.
  • A track record of shipping production-ready capabilities.
  • Nice to have: NVIDIA Omniverse or Isaac Sim, USD pipelines, Newton or Warp, synthetic data or robotics work, MetaHuman pipelines.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
