We are seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Specialist to lead the technical execution and architecture of engagement campaigns within Braze. This role is responsible for building, optimizing, and governing advanced cross-channel campaigns across email, SMS, and push—ensuring they are technically precise, highly personalized, and operationally scalable.
This individual will serve as the Braze subject matter expert for the engagement team, owning complex canvas builds, event-triggered journeys, segmentation logic, Liquid scripting standards, and deployment governance. The role requires deep platform expertise, strong QA discipline, and comfort collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data to ensure campaigns are powered by clean, reliable data.
This is a senior, hands-on builder role focused on technical excellence and lifecycle performance—not a strategy-only position.
Core Responsibilities- Architect and build advanced multi-step Braze Canvases across email, SMS, and push, including event-triggered, API-triggered, and scheduled campaigns. Design cross-channel orchestration using Canvas entry criteria, branching logic, audience filters, exit rules, suppression logic, frequency caps, and rate limiting to protect user experience and deliverability
- Own advanced Liquid implementation within Braze, including conditional logic, loops, filters, nested attributes, and robust fallback handling. Develop and maintain reusable Content Blocks, modular templates, Connected Content integrations, and Catalog-driven personalization to scale dynamic engagement campaigns.
- Design and validate complex Braze Segments using behavioral events, custom attributes, and nested objects. QA event ingestion, attribute mapping, and trigger configuration in partnership with Engineering, and leverage SQL (Snowflake preferred) to validate audience logic and resolve targeting discrepancies.
- Lead end-to-end Braze QA and deployment governance, validating Canvas paths, message variations, personalization rendering, link tracking, deep links, suppression conflicts, and cross-channel sequencing. Serve as final technical sign-off prior to launch and maintain standardized QA checklists and build documentation.
- Monitor and optimize performance using Braze reporting and Canvas analytics, analyzing open rates, CTR, conversion, retention lift, and engagement decay. Identify drop-off points within journeys and implement structured A/B tests and optimization experiments.
- Partner cross-functionally to align lifecycle messaging with feature releases and data inputs, translating engagement requirements into structured Jira tickets and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Analytics on API triggers, event schema updates, and attribution validation.
- 5+ years of experience in lifecycle, engagement, or CRM marketing.
- Deep hands-on experience building campaigns in Braze (or equivalent system)
- Advanced knowledge of Liquid templating and dynamic content logic.
- Experience designing multi-step behavioral engagement journeys.
- Strong understanding of event-driven campaign architecture.
- Proven experience managing cross-channel campaigns (email, SMS, push).
- Exceptional QA discipline and technical attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.
- SQL proficiency (Snowflake preferred).
- Experience with Connected Content and API-triggered campaigns.
- Experience implementing deep links and mobile push personalization.
- Experience in high-growth consumer or tech environments.
- Braze certification(s).
Compensation
$125,000 - 135,000 salary + Benefits
