The Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Producer to join our production team and play a pivotal role in coordinating the complex technical aspects of our multiplayer game projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, experience in multiplayer game production, and the ability to manage technical risks effectively. Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination of complex technical aspects of software development, ensuring alignment with strategic project goals and timelines.
  • Act as a critical partner with external entities for outsourcing, managing relationships, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee and guide the technical pipeline, including tool building and feature implementation, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
  • Mentor engineers, assisting them in planning and scheduling their work while proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and solutions.
  • Drive the production of advanced technical features, especially those related to multiplayer gameplay, setting high standards for quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with senior cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical components and alignment with overall project vision.
Skills and Abilities
  • Expert understanding of connected software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Preferred proven knowledge of software methodologies, best practices, and leading technical teams on large-scale multiplayer games.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical features and risks clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive technical projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to coordinate and build effective partnerships 
  • Clear and proactive communication and coordination
  • Able to manage multiple, competing tasks and be self-directed to meet deadlines in a quickly evolving environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
Education and Experience
  • Previous experience shipping 2 or more equivalent quality games
  • Extensive experience as a Technical Producer or similar senior role in the gaming industry, with a proven track record of successful technical project management.
  • Engineering degree or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • In-depth experience with server and client networking, with a strong understanding of the challenges and solutions in multiplayer game environments.
  • Significant experience in guiding key technical elements for multiplayer experiences, with a portfolio of successful projects.

  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Our core hours are 10 am to 6:00 pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings etc. during this time.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.  Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $270,000. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
