We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Technical Program Manager (Senior TPgM) to join our Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization. This individual contributor role is a critical part of our execution engine, responsible for leading complex, high-impact initiatives that directly support Guidewire’s strategic priorities. As a Senior TPgM, you will operate at the intersection of technology, product, and operations—navigating ambiguity, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and driving programs from inception through delivery. You will regularly engage with senior executives and PDO leadership, presenting program insights, progress, and recommendations. This role requires executive presence, clarity in communication, and the ability to influence without authority. Serving as a trusted leader who can connect the dots across teams and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. This is a high-visibility role best suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a strong technical background, and demonstrates exceptional communication, leadership, and execution skills.

Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of highly complex, cross-functional technical programs that drive business-critical outcomes for Guidewire.

  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, scope, resource allocation, and dependencies, ensuring clear accountability and alignment across stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and other internal teams to drive seamless execution and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program communications, delivering clear, concise, and timely updates on status, milestones, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor project health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with technical leads to assess and manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and adjust execution strategies as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Facilitate key program meetings such as planning sessions, workshops, and reviews, and ensure Guidewire best practices in agile and program management are consistently applied.

  • Own the creation and maintenance of program documentation including plans, status updates, risk registers, and lessons learned to promote transparency, alignment, and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain organizational and strategic awareness to ensure program alignment with company goals; adapt approaches based on changing business needs and context.

  • Contribute to the maturity and effectiveness of the Program Management Organization by evaluating and improving processes, implementing best practices, and driving operational excellence.

  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies to help Guidewire remain competitive and forward-thinking.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and openness to feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional software development or cloud infrastructure programs in a fast-paced, enterprise environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

  • Professional Program/Project Management certifications a plus

  • Experience leading programs using Cloud Technologies and understands agile tools and concepts

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven negotiation skills and a strong ability to navigate executive levels of an organization.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Monday, Aha, or other project tracking and reporting tools is a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $131,000 - $197,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors.
